Unit 9 What does he look like?Section A (1a-2c)一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标: 1)词汇:名词n. height, build, face, eye, nose, mouth 形容词adj. curly, straight, tall, medium, thin, heavy, round 2)句型:What does look like? He/she is He/she has 2. 过程与方法目标: 1)指导学生熟练运用描述他人体貌特征的词语。 2)在对话中感知如何用特殊疑问句来询问他人的外表。 3)连句成段,能简单描述他人发型,身高、身材及五官。3. 情感态度价值观目标:让学生学会友好、客观地描述人的形象。并且明白心灵美更为重要。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点: 掌握单词,熟练掌握描述人的形象的句型。2. 教学难点: 掌握描述人的形象的句型,分辨have/has,be动词的用法。三、教学过程. Warming-up and revision (Show a picture of a person)T:Do you know how to describe the persons appearance?Can you say it in English?After this lesson, you can do it, and lets learn together.环节说明:开门见山地提出本节课要学的语言目标描述人的外貌。. Presentation (Section A 1a)1. Teach some new words, phrases and sentences according to some pictures. 用漫画画人物教有关height,curly等单词。然后操练“What does he look like?He is really tall.” “What does he look like? He has long straight hair.” 注意be 动词,has的用法。2.Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a)At first, read the phrases in 1a and then use the letters to match the people in thepicture。 . Practice (Section A 1c) 1. Read the conversation and recite it. 2. Practice like the conversation according to some pictures. Listening (1b, 2a & 2b)1. Look at the picture of 1a, listen and fill the blanks in the picture. (1b)Listen carefully and fill in the blanks and find Amys friend? We will listen twiceThe first time, just listen. The second time, listen and fill in the blanksAnd say the look of Amys friend. ( Hes really tall. And he has curly hair.) 2. Listen and answer the questions. (2a)3. Listen again and fill in the chart. (2b)DavidSallyPeterishas. Practice (2c)1. Student A looks at the chart in 2b. Student B asks Student A questions about one of the people and then draws a picture of the person quickly.2. Act the dialogue. Writing Use the sentences we learned this class to write an article to describe some people. Guessing game Describe one of your best friends. Then let other students guess who he/she is?. Excises.
