What kind of food do you like? Do you like noodles? I like noodles, my dream is to have a nice noodle house. Childrens Day is coming soon, if you want to eat delicious food, please come to Cool Noodle House.Step 2 Presentation1. ( Show some pictures of food on the big screen) Present some new words and expressions to the Ss.2. Ss learn the new words and expressions by themselves and try to remember them. 3. Work on 1a: Read the words on the left and look at the pictures on the right. Write the letters of the food on the line. Then check the answers. 4. Pay attention to the words in 1a, point out the (un) countable nouns.Step 3 Game - -Guess the food(Show some pictures of food on the big screen) Let students guess what food it is.A: What does Special 1 have? B: It has beef and tomatoes.Step 4 Listening 1b1. Students observe the characters in the picture. Teacher show the phrases: order food, take ones order, and ask questions: 1) Where are the woman and the man? 2) Who are they? What are they doing? 3) What kinds of noodles does the noodles restaurant have? 4) What does the man want? T: In the following conversation, one man is ordering some food. Now, lets listen to the tape, find out the right noodles the person orders. _ Special 1 _ Special 2 _ Special 3 2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and check the answers. 3. Listen and complete the conversation.Waitress: _What would you like_?Boy: Im not sure yet. Are there any vegetables in the _beef_?Waitress: Yes, there are some _tomatoes_.Boy: OK, Id like the _beef noodles_, please.Step 5 Pair work 1c.1. Make their own conversations using the noodles in the picture. Pay attention to “What would you like? Are there anyin the? Id like Im not sure yet.”2. Let some pairs act out their conversations. Step 6 Listening 2a& 2b1. Work on 2a; Get students look at the pictures on the right, talk about the food. Then answer two questions: 1) Are there any vegetables in the picture? What are they? 2) What size bowl of noodles do you see in the picture?Write “bowl, small, medium, large” on the blackboard. Guide the students guess the words meaning. Then they understand how to finish 2a. Say: Listen to the conversations and check the names of the foods you hear. Play the recording for the first time, students only listen carefully. Then, listen to the recording again, and check the names of the foods. Check the answers. 2. Work on 2b: Listen and complete the sentences. Play the recording twice. The first time Ss just listen. And the second time, Ss listen and write down the words. Pay attention to the expressions: one bowl of, a small / medium/ large bowl (of); What size would like? If necessary, use the pause button to help Ss. Boy: 1. Id like a _large_ bowl of noodles. 2. Id like _chicken_, potato_ and _cabbage_ noodles. Girls: 1. Id like a _medium_ bowl. 2. Id like _beef_ and _tomato_ noodles, please.3. Check the answers.Step 7 Pair work 1. Ask and answer questions with your partner. Use the information in 2a. 2. Show the conversations of 2a on the big screen to the Ss. 3. Make a model for the Ss.
