Section B 2a-2e(人教版八年级上册Unit 4第3课时)兴山县高桥中心学校 许武松一、Teaching Aims:1、Knowledge aim: Students can know some basic information about the talent shows and master the usage of key words and the superlatives1) Words: performer, talent, common, all kinds of, beautifully, role, winner, prize, everybody, make up, example, for example, poor, seriously, give 2) Sentences:All these shoes have one thing in common. Thats up to you to decide. But if you dont take these shows too seriously, They usually play a role in deciding the winner. 2、Ability aim:Students can improve their reading and speaking ability and learn to talk about the talent shows and use the superlatives correctly.3、Emotional aim:Students can be more confident to talk with others and learn to find some shinning points of others.Understand the essence and aim of some talent show, in the right attitude towards life some musicians and movie stars, dont be blindly, do groupies.(了解一些选秀节目的实质及目的,正确对待生活中的一些歌星及影星,不要盲目地追风,做追星族)。二、Teaching Key Points:1) To grasp this class of new words and expressions.2) Read passage 1 and access to relevant information, improve the students comprehensive reading ability. 三、Teaching Difficult Points: Read 2 b part of the essay and complete the related requirements.四、Teaching Methods: Communicative Language Teaching, Task-based Language Teaching.五、Teaching Aids:multi-media, video六、Teaching procedures:. Warm up:1. Daily greeting. 2.Lets have a chant and revision.3. Review the highest form of composition rules, adjectives and adverbs, and complete a task。 4. Let some Ss report “Whos got talent in class?” . Presentation1. T: Show some famous star picture on the big screen. Tell Ss Who is the best singer/is the most exciting magician/Who is the tallest idol ?/ the most popular writer?2.Talk about and practice these drills. Teacher can walk around the classroom, and give some help to the Ss.3.Learn the new words and expressions:have. in common 、play a role in 、magician 、 make up 、and so on 、 for example 、 be up to 、take seriously 4. Guessing games :teacher show English words and expressions quickly. Let Ss guess and speak out . In order to check Ss grasp vocabularies.5. Ss work in pairs and see who can do better. III. Lead-in Work on 2a: Talent shows are becoming more and more popular. Look at the pictures and the video, do you know them? Why do they become famous? Enjoy and watch video about Americas Got Talent and Chinas Got Talent.IV. While-reading1.Extensive reading: Ask students to read the passage quickly and then conclude the main idea.T: Do you often watch TV? Do you like Chinas Got Talent? Today well learn a passage about talent shows. Let Ss read the passage quickly and find out “Which three talent shows are mentioned?” 2.Intensive reading.Ss read the passage quickly and find the answers to the questions.V. Post-reading1. Careful reading : T: Now lets work on 2c. First, lets read the questions and make sure we know the meanings of all the questions. Then read the passage again and find the answers to the questions. 2. Ss read carefully and try to find the answers to the questions. 3. Check the answers with the class. VI. Rereading 1. T: Read the passage again. This time you should underline all the superlatives in the passage, then write sentences using at least four of them. 2. Ss find the superlatives in the passage. Try to write their sentences. VII.
