why is it your favorite lesson?s: i think my favorite lesson is lesson 1 super athletes. i like it because from this article i learn about something that i dont know beforedoping occurs in many sports fields, for example, ben johnson was caught taking drugs in the 1988 olympics. i dont think its a good thing and i hope all athletes in the world should remember the spirit of competitiontaking part rather than winning. and i learned to talk about doping and the sporting world.s: i dont like most of the lessons in this unit. they are about dopinga kind of cheating, epidemics that have a bad effect on human beings and human cloning, etc. these lessons put much pressure on us and we feel the threat from the development of science and technology. after i read all these articles, i dont feel relaxed but much depressed.s: i prefer the article in language awareness 6. its about lance armstrongone of the greatest athletes in the world. before reading this article, i know little about his fighting against his illness. i like the story immediately i finished reading it. personally, i think we must learn something important from lance armstrong. when were faced with difficulties in life, we should never lose heart or give in but have courage to overcome it. only in this way can we realize our dreams and be a great man or woman.t: which activity in this unit would you prefer?s: i prefer “writing an essay with the title: should smoking be banned?” in communication workshop. im against smoking because my father is a heavy smoker and he has had some trouble with his lungs. by preparing and writing this essay i wanted to persuade him into giving up smoking. so i tried my best to write it. on finishing this article, i read it to him. i told him that i love him so much that i cant stand his bad habit which does harm to his health. dad was deeply moved by this article and my words and he decided not to smoke any longer. now he does give up smoking.s: im interested in “traditional chinese medicine” because the writer introduces the history and spreading of acupuncture and acupressure to us. but i think im slightly confident about the usage of the modal verb. sometimes i easily get confused by them. what should i do?t: ok, maybe its really a problem for some of you. if i were you, i would take some effective measures and learn these modals step by step. to begin w
