(Ask some students to retell the text, after that, ask students to finish Pant D. ) Then check the answer. Read the first and revise the following expressions. 1) Say: Millie is a student at Beijing Sunshine Secondary School. What about you? (Im a student at ) Tell students that we can also say Im a student of / in Beijing Sunshine Secondary School. 2) Ask: What class is Millie in? (She is in class 1, Grade 7. ) What class are you in? Are you in class 1 Grade 7? 3) Ask: Does Millie like her classroom? (Yes, she does.) Why does she like her classroom? (Because its big and clean.) Do you like English? Why do you like English? Do you like playing football? Why? Why not? Do you go to school by bus? Why? Why not? 2. Read the second paragraph and revise the following expressions. 1) Ask: Are there lots of nice people in Millies class? (Yes, there are.) Explain “lots of” to students: lots of means many and much. Thats to say, we can put countable and uncountable nouns after lots of, and we can also say a lot of instead of lots of. Translation: 花园里有许多花。 There are a lot of / lots of / many flowers in the garden. 杯子里有许多水。 There is a lot of / lots of / much water in the glass. 教室里有许多人吗?Are there a lot of / lots of / many people in the classroom? 我没有许多朋友。 I dont have lots of / a lot of / many friends. 2) Ask: Who is Millies best friend? (Amy) Who is your best friend? Is XXX your best friend? Is your best friend polite and helpful? 3) Ask: When do Millie and Amy sit under the trees in the playground? (At lunchtime) What do you do at lunchtime? Do you chat with your classmates at lunchtime? What does your father do at lunchtime? 4) Ask: Do they always chat with each other? (Yes, they do) Do you and your best friend chat with each other? What should you and you best friend do to each other? (Help students to answer: We should help each other and learn from each other.) 5) Ask: Are Millies classmates nice to her? (Yes, they are.) Are your parents nice to you? Who is nice to you in your class? Are you nice to everyone? 3. Read the third paragraph and revise the following expressions. 1) When does the school day start? (At 8:00 a.m.) What about our school? 2) What do they do first every morning? (Do morning exercises.) Do we do morning exercises? Do you like doing morning exercises? Why do we do morning exercises?
