Language goal:1) words:grow up, computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, driver, pilot, pianist, scientistSentences: What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a basketball player. How are you going to do that? Im going to practice basketball every day.2) Grammar: 掌握一般将来时态的构成形式; 用be going to表达将要做的事情。2. 情感态度价值观目标:每个人都有自己的梦想和对未来的打算,对于将来想要从事的职业也充满了憧憬。 人们以常谈论他们的设想,因此,应通过学习这单元的内容来激发学生们的学习主动性和学习兴趣,使他们更加有理想,并为实现自己的理想而不断努力。二、学情分析 学生在前面的学习中接触过一些表职业的单词,这里主要是和学生一起总结以不同后缀结尾的表职业的单词,便于学生记忆单词。另外,对于句型“want to ” 学生也并不陌生,加之此课时谈论的是自己理想的职业,这应该是学生比较感兴趣的话题,所以可以利用这个话题多让学生进行一些对话练习,掌握本课时的重难点。同时还可以借此机会教育那些有好的理想却不够努力的学生如何才能让自己的理想成为现实。三、Important and difficult points1. Important points:1)New words and phrases2)How to use “want to be”, “be going to be” to talk about your future2. Difficult points:掌握一般将来时态的构成形式并用be going to表达将要做的事情。三、Learning proceduresStep. Lead-in 1. check the homework.根据预习情况报听写,选择部分学生上黑板写出一些表职业的单词,教师再和学生一起对这些单词进行归纳,如分别以“er”,“or”, “ist”等结尾的单词及构成。Step. Presentation1, words(1). Play a guessing game and challenge your IQ Each give three messages, Let Ss guess who he/she is and what he/she does. (2). Show some pictures and learn other job words.2. Free talk There are so many jobs, what do students want to do and why they want to do it?They can be free to talk .Ss: I want to be a/an because I think it is.3. Make a wish There is a magic tree , ask Ss to write their dreams down on a piece of paperand put it up on the tree and speak out. StepIII. How to make a plan(1)Learn how to make a plan by using “be going to”Ask the students who put up their dreams on the tree how he/she is going to do that?(2) play a game(voice pipe)The students in the first line tell the students who sit behind them their dreams and plans for the future, then the students in the second do the same things one by one, and the students in the last line say what they heard loudly.StepIV Listening 1. Tell Ss to read the words of jobs in the chart. Make sure they know the meaning of the words and sentences. 2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and fill in the blanks, then match the items 3. Play the recording again. Ask some groups to repeat the conversations.
