Make full use of the tape player and pictures, creating scenarios to let students have the desire to participate in learning, and guide students to participate actively in classroom activities, as the main body of teaching and learning.2. Advocates the combination of autonomous learning and cooperative learning to improve the learning efficiency.3. Help students to build their own English categories thesaurus to improve the efficiency of remembering new words and structures.Emotion attitude and values:1. Let students learn about places we often use in life, and know their functions.2.Cultivate the Ss competitive cooperation through competition and group work.II. Teaching key and difficult points:教学重难点:重点:1. Words about places: post office, police station, hotel, restaurant, bank, hospital, street, pay phone,park and so on.2. Sentences about how to ask and answer about places: -Is there a hospital near here? -Yes, there is. Its on Bridge Street.难点:1)Use the prepositions properly. 2)Use the mind map to finish the task of designing “My dream home”.III. Teaching procedures:学习过程:Step 1: Lead in (A video from a foreigner, Justin) Justin has some problems and he asks the people in Heyuan for help.His questions are:Where can he go? Is there a. near here? Let Ss guess the meaning of the new words and then present the pictures about the places.Step 2 : presentation 【呈现】1.Use the mind map to present all the target words.Read them together.2.Game : quick eyes.3.Find the places on the map in 1a and check answers.4.Listening practice. Listen to 1b and circle the places. 5.Listen again and complete the 3 conversations.Step 3 : practice 【练习】1.Practice 1c in pairs. Ask and answer questions about the places in 1a. 2.Play the video to learn some prepositions. 3.Let Ss talk about where the pay phone is in 2a,at the same time, put pictures of the places in different positions on the street.(分发图片,学生以小组为单位摆动并变换地点的位置,在实践中掌握方位介词,并上台演示.) 4.Finish 2b. Justin wants to find these places in Heyuan,Can you help him? Listen and fill in the blanks.Step 4 :Tasks 【任务】1. T shows some pictures to describe the topic on“My home” .Ask Ss to think of words about places as much as they can.Draw the mind map. 2.
