Students should master the sentence structures.Teaching Procedures:Step 1 Lead inGreet the students and review what we have learned last class. Ask students What animals do you like? and Why do you like?. Invite some students to answer them.Step 2 Presentation1. Teach the differences between very,kind of and a little.(1) Show my favorite animals to present the differences between very,kind of and a little.(2) Ask students two questions: What animals do you like very much? why? What animals do you like a little? why? Then Invite some students to answer them.2.Discussion (1)Through a discussion to learn Where are from? They are from?(2) Make sentencesLet students make sentences like this: Pandas are from China.Give them two minutes to prepare, then invite some students to make sentences.Step 3 Practice1.Teach activity 2a(1) Get students to know what and how to do in this part.(2) Play the tape twice for students. For the first time, students just listen. For the second time, students have to write the animals and draw lines.(3) Check the answers.2. Teach activity 2b(1) Get students to know what and how to do in this part.(2) Play the tape for only one time, students have to complete the conversation after listening to it.(3) Invite two students to read the conversations.Step 4 ConsolidationTeach activity 2c1. Read the instructions for students.2. Give students three minutes to talk about the other two animals in 2a with their partners. As they work, move around the classroom checking the progress and offering assistants as needed.3. Invite some pairs to present their correct mistakes if any.Step 5 Summary and homework1.
