Why do you want to see them? Because they are cute.等句型编对话。三、教学过程Step1. Warming-up and leading inLets enjoy a song about animals.播放歌曲“Old Macdonald had a farm”，让学生欣赏歌曲并通过问题引导学生说出歌曲中提到的动物，并呈现其英文单词。问题：1.How many kinds of animals are there on Old Macdonalds farm? 2.Which animals have the “moo”sound？设计意图：课前播放这首歌曲，学生可以跟着音乐齐唱，调动学生的积极性，可以活跃课堂气氛，由歌曲引入单词教学。Step2. PresentationShow the class some pictures of animals and present other animals. And ask students: Whats this in English?Ss ：Its a tiger. (Then lion, panda, elephant, koala, giraffe)Ss look at the pictures and try to remember the new words of the animals.设计意图：通过图片客观形象地认识动物，有助于学生很好地掌握和记忆新单词。 学习的过程就是交际的过程。Step3. Game (Guessing game.)1播放tiger、elephant、lion、dog、cat、panda等动物的叫声，让学生猜出动物的名称，有些难的呈现出动物的半身图片。2.Ask students to match the pictures with the words . ( Do 1a.)3. Check the answers with the class.设计意图：声音和图片多感官刺激，加上练习，多方面巩固新学单词，同时增加趣味性。Step4. ListeningWork on 1b.Tell Ss to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a.Play the recording again and check the answers with the class.Listen again and fill in the blanks.设计意图：指导学生读懂听力要求，指导学生在听时主要关注有哪些动物。Step5. Pair work1. Ask the students to imagine “ We are in the zoo, there are many kinds of animals here.” Then ask a student to do the model with you: Lets see the lions first.Why do you want to see them?Because they are interesting.2. Ss work with their partners practice the conversation using the animals and the adjtive words.设计意图：此环节主要是复习动物名称和描述性形容词，互动过程中，还可以练习使用其他描述性形容词。组织学生结对训练，培养合作能力。Step6.Listening1.
