Good morning, dear judges! Its my great pleasure to be here to sharing my teaching idea with you. Today Im going to talk about lesson1Do you have a ruler? And I will divide it into 6 parts as follows:1. Teaching materialWell,first I will talk about the part1-analysis of the teaching material. This lesson is from Book 5 in KP primary English. There are several periods in it, and I will talk about the first part-Lets talk. Its listening and speaking lesson. It is about school life. So students will be interested in this lesson. 2. StudentsAs we all know, in class we teach students, not books. So lets come to the part2- say something about my students. Theyre in Grade 5. Its the third year to learn English. And they have learned some words, but they often forget. So I will try my best,help them improve step by step.3. Teaching aimsAccording to my understanding of teaching material and students, I set the following 3 teaching aims:(1)Knowledge aims: are to master the new words, such as ruler and read the structures, for example Do you have a ruler?(2)Ability aims: are to use the sentences to communicate with others.(3)Emotion aims: are to love their school life.From the above, I think my teaching importance of this lesson is to master the target language. And my teaching difficulty is to make use of them.4. Teaching methodsIn order to reach my teaching aims, I will adopt TPR(total physical response)、LIP(ListenImitatePractice) and task-based teaching methods. At the same time, in order to guide students to learn by themselves, I will make full use of teaching resources, such as the tape, flash cards, pictures of this lesson and so on.5. Teaching processNow lets move on to the most important part-teaching process. It consists of 4 steps. And I will explain them from 3 sides: what to teach, how to teach and why.Step1.Warm-upAfter greeting with the students, its ice-breaking time. So I will begin the lesson with the song “I have two hands together with the students. (3)I have two hands,the left and the right,hand them up high,so clean and bright。I have a ruler。Do you have a ruler?In this way, not only can draw students attention, but also can lead in the new subject- Do you have a ruler? naturally. So lets come toStep2.Presentation(1)Firstly,I will teach some new words with the aid of flash cards. We know flash card is a kind of useful teaching method. For example, when I teach the word ruler, I will hand up the flash card,show the picture side to the students and ask them Whats this? this is a ruler. OK, great。 From this, students can know the meaning. And then I will let the students read after me . ruler r-u-l-e-r I have a ruler By doing this, students can recognize, read and spell it better. (5)(2)Look!Boys and girls!I have a ruler. Do you have a ruler? Yes, I do. Do you have a ruler? No,I dont. Then I will write the sentence pattern with Chinese meaning on the Blackboard. This is to prepare for the next step- listening and speakingStep3. Listening and speakingAs everyone knows,listening is a kind of input, too. Speaking is output. Enough input means good output. So I will divide it into three parts (20):(1) Pre-listening(Look and Guess)Look at the pictures of dialogue carefully and guess what are Dongdong and lulu talking about.(2) While-listening(Listen and Circle、 Answer、 Follow)Do you want to know your guess true or false?Lets listen to the tape for three times. The first time is to circle the key words ,such as “ruler,short,long”and then is to answer some questions in order to get a deep understanding of the text. For example, “Does lulu have a ruler”. The last time is to read after the tape so that learn a good pronunciation.(3) Post-listening(Practice and act)For practice makes perfect. So I will divide students in groups to imitate the dialogue. When they work in groups, I will walk around offer some help if needed. After they act, I will encourage them as possible as I can. Who does well, I will give a flower. By doing this, students are happy and confident to learn.Step4.Extension(1)In order to consolidate the target language, lets Chant. That is to say,I will divide students into two groupsboys group and girls group,one ask and another answer in the singing way and then exchange. For example: Do you have a ruler?Yes,I do. In this relaxing way, students are easy to remember what they have learnt.(2)Then, I will arrange some homework, as another extension of teaching. Different homework for different students. For the more fluent, read after the tape and imitate the dialogue. And for the less fluent, follow the tape, read sentence by sentence until can read the whole.6.
