Check the past forms .Then ask Ss to summarize the rules of past forms of the regular verbs. Then explain the rules of past forms of the regular verbsSecond, lets talk about the grammar. (group work) Meaning Sentence structureSimple past tense V-ed Question sentence and answer Step two New presentationWork on 2d1. Look at the pictures and answer the question. Q:How was Erics trip?A: It was (boring/interesting/good/great)Q:What did Eric do on last week ?A: He visited /went / fed Q: How was the weather there?A:It was great.2.Listen,read and recite the dialogue. 3. Role-play the conversationStep three Exercise1. Work on 3a Ask Ss to read the letters in 3a . Ask Ss to complete Jims letter on the left and Bills reply on the right. Check the answers .Ask Ss to pay attention to the past tense verbs. Explain the language points Read the letters together.Work on 3b 2. Group work Make up a story. Each student adds a sentence. If he or she cant add a sentence .He or she must sing an English song.You can begin like this:S1. Last week, I visited my uncle. S2.The weather was beautiful. S3.We went fishing.
