Students use when and what time to ask about time and activities. What time do you usually get up? I usually get up at six thirty. When do you go to work? I usually go to work at eleven oclock. He has an interesting job. He works at a radio station. 3. Students can talk about their daily life on school days.Moral, value and attitude In this unit we are talking about time. The topic is close to students life, so they have something to share in this unit. And the class will be kind of interesting and relaxing. Its a good chance to inspire students interests in learning English. And the topic is also a good one to have students form good habits and healthy life style. Key stepsStep 1. Warming-up and revision 1. Greet the Students and point to the screen to ask following questions.Whats this? (Its a guitar.) Can you play the guitar? (Yes, I can. / No, I cant.)If you can play it, when can you play the guitar? (I play it on the weekend.) Today we are going to learn about time and our daily activities.Step 2. Presentation1. Learn about the new words and expressions in this part by watching the screen.2. Show a clock by the power point to teach the new word time and lead in the new expression of how to read time in English. What time is it? Its 3. Have a short summary of reading time.4. Have students read the times on the board.Step 3. Practice1. Go to 1a to match the pictures with the activities.2. Go to 1b. Listen and match the times with the actions. Draw lines from the clocks to the pictures.3. Check the students answers.Step 4. Ask and answerTeacher: I get up at 6:00I go to school at 6:45 What time do you get up? Please look at the pictures and then work in pairs like this. A: What time do you usually take a shower, Rick?B: I usually take a shower at six forty.Step 5. Listening 1. Go to 2a. Listen and fill in the blanks. The teacher pays attention to train students listening skills. After listening, check the students answers. 2. Go to 2b. Fill in the chart. Check the answers. 3. The teacher asks students to talk about the shower time of Marys family.Step 6. Pair work Talk about your own activities on school days.e.g.A: What time do you usually get up in the morning?B: I usually get up at six thirty. A: And what time do you eat breakfast?B: I usually eat breakfast at seven oclock. Step 7. Role-play 1. Play the tape for students and ask them to listen and answer the following questions. Where does Scott work? What time is his radio show? What time does he usually get up? What time does he eat breakfast? What time does he usually go to work? 2. Students read the conversation after the tape sentence by sentence. And then the teacher and students deal with the difficult sentences that students can understand.3. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and repeat. Then let Ss work in pairs to practice reading the conversation. Then try to act it out. 4. Ask some pairs to come to the front and act out the conversation. See which group does best. Homework: 1. Remember the new words and expressions. 2.
