Unit3 grammar focus教学设计一、Teaching Goals 1、形容词及副词的比较级(Comparative Forms of Adjective and Adverbs)A.Sam has longer hair than Tom.B: Peters heavier than Paul.C: Pauls shorter than Peter.2、asas结构用来进行同级比较A:Tom is as tall as Paul.B:Peter runs as fast as Mike.3、使用形容词及副词的比较级对两者进行比较的疑问句及回答。A:Thats Tara,isnt it?B:No,it isnt,Its Tina.Tina is taller than Tara.And she also sings more loudly than Tara.二、Teaching and learning steps:Step 1. Teaching Aims:Tell Ss they are going to learn Unit 3Grammar Focus 3a-3c.Step 2. Review1.According to the pictures, write down the Comparative Forms of Adjective and Adverbs2.Using the pictures above, let Ss work in pairs:Li Yong is funny.Pan is funnier than Li Yong.Andy is smart.Mike is smarter than Ander.3.Role play the dialogue 2d on page 18 in front of the class.【设计意图】:通过单词复习及对话练习,检查学生对于上节课知识的巩固,了解把握学生。Step 3. Grammar focus1.Show two colums of words, and ask students to match these Adjective and Advervbs with their comparative forms.(利用PPT展示两栏词语,引导学生读出这些单词,将形容词及副词与其比较级相匹配。)2.Ask students to find out the differences between the two colum words and try to find the rules.(找不同,找规律)3. Teachers can give some help to the students(通过指出一些形容词及副词比较级的变化,帮助学生找到变化规律)结论:形容词与副词的比较级的构成:(1)规则变化构成方法原级比较级一般加-erTallShortlongTallerShorterlonger以e结尾的词加-rnice largelate NicerLargerlater以“辅音字母+y”结尾的词,改y为i,再加-erHeavyEasyhappyHeavierEasierhappier以重读闭音节结尾,双写辅音字母,再加-erThinBigFathotThinnerBiggerFatterhotter多音节形容词和部分双音节形容词构成比较级时,在前面加moreOutgoingFriendlyloudlyMore outgoingFriendlyloudly(2)不规则变化原级比较级Good/wellbetterBad/badly/illworseMany/muchmorelittlelessfarFartherfurther完成下列句子:(1)他们的书比我们的多。They have _ _ _us.(2)这个房间比那个房间小。This room_ _ _that one.3.Divide students into two groups,and ask them to read Grammar Focus seperately.Draw a line under the adjective,and circle the adverbsIs Tom smarter than Sam?No,he isnt.Sam is smarter than Tom.Is Tara more outgoing than Tina?No,she isnt.Tina is more outgoing than Tara.Are you asfriendly as your sister?No,Im not.Imfriendlier.Does Tara work as hard as Tina?Yes,she does.Whos more hard-working at school?Tina thinks she works harder than me.4.Ask students to read Grammer Focus again,and pay attention to the sentence structure “asas”5. 翻译探究:Tara works as hard as Tina._.“as +形容词或副词_+as”表示“_”,否定形式为“_”或“_”。译为“_”。如:(1)我和你一样活泼。_(2)他不如刘翔跑得快。_(3)这本书不如那本书有趣。_(4)他和你一样友好。_【设计意图】:学生合作学习观察并总结,目的是引导学生观察、发现、归纳和掌握语言规律,形成有效的学习策略。教师只进行点拨精讲。Step 4. 3a Use the worda to write questions and answers.1.Julie/tall/youQ:Is Julie as tall as you A:No,she isnt. Yes, I am.Im taller now than I was two years ago.2.Are you funnier?_ 3.Are you more outgoing?_4.Do you study English harder?_5.Do you sing better?_【设计意图】:通过语境练习,对比现在的自己和两年前自己的区别,进一步帮助学生掌握形容词及副词比较级的用法。锻炼学生的实际运用能力。Step 6. 3c Compare your parents.
