Then ask how to invite someone to your party.Step 2 Presentation Present the target sentences.T: My birthday is October 25. Ill have a birthday party. Can you come to my party ?S: Sure. Id love to. / Ok. Id love to come. /Certainly. Id love to. (Accept Invitations)S: Sorry, I cant. I have to visit my aunt . Other reasons: ( study for a test , have a piano lesson , help my parents, go to the doctor , visit my aunt and so on )Step 3 Practice the new language Ask six students to answer my question .When you see a happy face, please give “yes” answer. When you see an unhappy face, please give “no” answer plus a reason. For example: T: Can you come to my party?S1: Sure. Id love to.S2: Im sorry . I cant. I have to go to the doctor.Give them more information :help my parents/ visit my aunt/ play football/ study for the English test/have a piano lesson/ go to the mall/ babysit my sister/ do homework/go to the movies/ go to my guitar lesson/ watch a football match/play tennis/ go to the doctor/ surf the Internet/ go fishing/ relax at homeAsk the students to count 1-2-1-2 in a line and remember their numbers. Then lets make a new invitation to invite your partner.Have the number is 1s give “yes” answers. And number 2s give “no” answers plus a reason.Step 4 GroupworkWork in a small group and invite your friends. Find out who can come , who cant come.Example:A: Hi Dave Can you come to my party on Saturday?B: Im sorry, I cant. I have too much homework this weekend. A: Oh, too bad! Can you come to my party ?C: Sure, Id love to.Act in classThen give a report in class.NameCan/CantReasonsLiu Jiaocantgo to his guitar lesson Jim can Report:Liu Jiao cant come to my party. He has to go to his guitar lesson . And Jim would love to come to my party .But. Step 5 SB1 Now open your books and turn to Page 25.First look at the picture in 1a. Each person doing something. Can you read them? Then read together . Match the words with the pictures. Check the answers. Answers: 1b , 2c , 3d , 4e , 5a2 T: Well listen to a conversation. Please write the name of each person next to his or her picture. First read these names, then listen carefully .3 Listen again and number the reason for each person.
