Use the target language to make conversation correctly.Learning methods:Speaking method and communicative approachLearning aid:A computer for multimedia use Learning procedures:Step 1 Leading inLead in by asking questions: “Do you like animals? What animals do you like?”Today well learn Unit 5 and talk about animals.Step 2 Presentation1. Let students look at some pictures about animals.2. Let students work in pairs to talk about “What animals do you want to see? Why?” Then ask some students to answer these questions.Encourage students use more describing words.Step 3 Finish 1a Give students two minutes to finish 1a, and check the answers. Then read the words aloud together.Step 4 Oral practiceLook at the pictures of animals and use the target language to make dialogue.For example:-Do you like koalas? -Yes, I do. - Why do you like koalas? - Because theyre cute.Give students some minutes to prepare and act out their own dialogue in class.Step 5 Talk about where the animals come from.Step 6 Guessing gamesShow some sentences about describing animals, let students guess what animal it is.Step 7 Summary some describing words in this period. And let students read them together.Step 8 ExerciseStep 9 Homework 1. Remember the new word.2. Use the target language to make dialogue with your classmates.Step 10 SummaryWe have learned some words about animals and describing animals today. And we know that animals are our friends. We live in the same world. We should love and protect them.
