Unit 7 Its raining!第一课时1a-1c,3b 教学设计 一、教材简析这一单元Unit 7 Its raining的中心话题是谈论天气。语法现象是现在进行式。继Unit6 Im watching TV第二次出现了现在进行时态，是上一单元的延续。本课是第七单元第一课时，主要围绕天气这一主题展开各种教学活动，本节课的重点是学习描述天气的形容词，问天气的句式，要求学生熟练掌握并正确运用描述天气的词汇和句式,并能描述不同天气情况下人们所在做的事情。二、教学目标1、知识目标1）掌握并运用下列词汇：rainy，windy, cloudy, sunny, snowy, weather, Moscow, Boston, London2）掌握并运用下列句型： Hows the weather in.? Whats the weather like in .? Its raining/rainy.2、能力目标1）能听懂文本内容并作相应回答；2）能用英语描述并谈论不同的天气及不同天气情况下人们所在做的事情。3、情感目标1）通过教学引导学生关注天气情况，爱护环境，保护大气等自然资源的良好意识。2）通过学习了解英美国家的人在谈话时常以天气为话题的习惯，培养文化差异的意识。三、教学重难点能熟练运用英语描述不同的天气及不同天气情况下人们所在做的事情。四、教学过程Step1. Greetings Step2. Leading in1. Play the music “Hows the weather?” for the students. Then ask : Whats the song about ? Ss: Its about weather(Bb and teach the new word weather ).And lead to the new unitunit7（设计意图)：运用歌曲导入既符合七年级学生的心理年龄，激发学生的学习兴趣，活跃课堂的学习气氛。又能轻松自然地导入新课的学习内容。2 . Show the teaching aims to the students and tell them what they will learn today. Learn some words about weather.(学习有关天气的单词). Learn how to ask about the weather. (学习如何询问天气). Learn to describe the weather.(学习描述天气)(设计意图)：展示教学目标让学生有目的的去学，知道自己本节课应该学到什么，减少学习的盲目性。Step3. Presentation 1. Show some pictures on the screen to the students and teach the new words: sunny, rainy, cloudy, windy. snowy and the target sentences: Hows the weather?/ Whats the weather like? Its sunny.（设计意图)：在讲授词汇时，采用动画和音效相结合的方法，让同学们整体感知，然后通过感性认识来说出本场景所反映的自然现象，这样便于培养学生认识事物的能力和学生学习的兴趣。2Let the students find out the rule about changing a noun about weather into an adjectiveThe teacher gives a conclusion.（设计意图)：让学生自己观察名词如何变形容词，培养他们观察以及总结归纳的能力。也能让他们学会应用规律巧记单词，从而提高他们学习英语的兴趣。3.Show some weather icons to the students and ask them to say out the words quickly. 4. Guessing gameShow some pictures to the students and play a guessing game by asking hows the weather? Is it? to practice the new words and the new structures again. （设计意图)：根据低年级学生易忘的心理特征。通过重复提问再现新词和目标语言，达到强化记忆的作用。Step 4 free talk Talking about the favorite weatherseason and ask why.（设计意图)：通过谈论所喜欢或不喜欢的季节和气候及说明理由激活学生已有的词汇，如：hot, cold, warm, cool，coat, glove, scarf等，为后面的输出活动做好铺垫。Step 5 pairwork Show pictures of some big cities in China with different weather to practice the new target language.A: Hows the weather in.?/ Whats the weather like in .? B: Its sunny and hot.（设计意图)：通过不断的操练巩固句型和新词。Step6. Listening 1a & 1b. 1. Pre-listening Show some pictures of different cities in the world(Beijing、Shanghai、Boston、Moscow、Toronto ). Teach the names of these cities.2. While-listening Play the tape for the first time and get Ss to write down the weather in these cities. And then the second time for the students to imitate in a low voice.( Note: Talking about the weather is quite common in western countries as a daily greeting.)3. Pairwork1、假设你的同桌是你的朋友，她在别的城市，五一快到啦，你想去她的城市旅游,出发前给她打电话了解当地的天气情况。eg.A: Hello! May I speak to _ ?B: This is _speaking.A: _,hows the weather in_?B: Its_. (设计意图)：创设真实的情景，使学生将所学的语言结构应用到生活实际中，培养他们运用英语知识进行交际的能力。Step8.Practice Some pictures to talk about what people are doing in different weather. Give some pictures to the students, have them work in a group of 4-5. Talk about the weather and the activities in these cities. Then the group members will introduce the city together, every member can say one or two sentences.(teacher walks around and offers helps if needed.)（设计意图)：这是个要求比较高的活动，可以锻炼学生用英语思维的能力和组织语言的能力，让学生在使用中掌握语言结构，达到了学中用，用中学的目的，给予学生学习的乐趣。不同的形式以及语言知识由易渐难的积累，使学生体验到了成功，增强了他们学习的信心。Step9.
