Teaching procedures:Step1: Warmer upGreetingThe teacher give some flash pictures and play the recording ,the students watch the pictures and listen to the song “If You Are Happy.” Then the students follow the song and act about the song.If you are happy and you know it, clap your handsIf you are happy and you know it , stamp your feet. If you are happy and you know it, nod your head If you are happy and you know it, pull your ears If you are happy and you know it, do all four. Listen and do it again.Ask some students sing and dance.(The others watch and learn )Step2.Lets watch and sayShow some pictures to the students .(Watch and think)Ask some students to talk about the picture.(T:teacher S: students)T: What is the boy doing in the first picture?S: walking.T: Right ,Hes walking to school. What are students doing in the picture?S: They are taking the bus to school.T: Whats happening to the boy doing in the second picture?S: He is late for class.T: ( Point to the first picture) Im going to talk to this boy .Tom,you should take the bus .you shouldnt walk to school. If you walk to school ,. you will be late . Class, please repeat.-If you walk to school ,youll be late.S: If you walk to school ,youll be late.Repeat the activity with another set of picturesIf you,youll Watch the flash and sing the song “If You Are Happy .”again.Step 3Tell stories.This is a boy. His name is Tom.If he watches TV too late , he will be tired.If he is tired, he will get up late.If he is late for school, the teacher will be angry with him.If the teacher is angry with him, he will cry.Step 4:Lets talk and say1aThis activity introuduces key vocabulary and provides reading practice using the target language. Point out the four pictures and ask students to tell what they see.Ask two students to read the conversation in the speech bubbles in the first pictures .Say, now read the statements and responses in the box.Match the statements with the responses you think make sense.Answer any questions, students may have about vocabulary.Students match the statements and responses.Finally ask the to students read the sentences again and again.Step 5: Lets listen1bThis activity provides listening practice using the target language.Play the recording.Talk about the answers togetherThen let the students check their own answers and ask several students to read these sentences.Step 6: Lets have pairwork1cThis activity provides guided speaking and listening practice using the target languageRead the instructions to the class. Point out the picture in activity 1aFirstpairwork, Then groupwork,First ask two students to read the sample dialogue in activity 1c.Then ask some pairs of students to present their conversations to the class.Step 7 Listen and circle the correct answer tocomplete the sentences. 2a.1.The students are talking about when to have ( a class party / a class meeting / a birthday party)2. Step 9 2d Role-play the conversation .2d.1. The students are talking about when to have a class meeting.meeting是名词,意为“会议,集会;会面”,作“聚会”解时,多指出于偶然的机会,在某地与某人相遇。meeting作“会议”解时,指任何有组织的、有领导的、公开的或私下的各种集会,多在室内举行,目的是商讨议案、作出决定等。如:The meeting will deal with these problems. Our meeting in Beijing was later than I expected. meeting用作主语,谓语动词多用单数形式。 meeting前常加介词at,表示“在会议上”; 而表示“在会议期间私下说话”则用介词in。 2. What will happen if they have the party today?if作为连词,引导条件状语从句,表示“假如”“如果”等。引导条件状语从句最常用的连词是if,表示在某条件下,某事很可能发生,主句不能用be going to表示将来,而应该用shall,will。如:If you leave now, you will never regret it.如果你现在离开,你将绝不会后悔。if 引导的条件状语从句,其结构为:If一般现在时 ,主语shall/will+动词原形。要注意在状语从句中有一个规则是“主将从现”,即主句是将来时,则从句要用一般现在时表示将来。 如:If it rains tomorrow, I shant climb the hills.如果明天下雨,我将不会爬山。3.What will Mark organize?organize是动词,意为“组织,筹备”,过去式是organized,即组织某人或某事物,将某人或某事物编入组织或系统,使之相互联系,且每一个体在组织中都有其恰当的作用或职责。如:I believe I have the ability to organize a party.我相信我有能力组织一次社交聚会。Dont ask them to organize the trip, theyll only screw everything up. 别让他们组织此行,他们准得把一切都搞糟了。organized还可作形容词,意为“有组织的,有条理的”,如:An organized program of advertisements.有组织的大规模的广告计划。Read again, answer the questions.1.What will the people do if they ask them to bring food?2.What will they do if the people win the games? Step 10: Practice1 .grammar focus由if引导的条件状语从句,if意为“如果”若主句是一般将来时,从句要用一般现在时。If I get up late, I will be late for school.If I dont finish my homework, I wont go to bed. Look:If you join the band, you will be famous. = You will be famous if you join the band.2.pairwork (Let the students say their own words- say you ,say me) If its fine tomorrow, we ll If I have enough money, . 3.groupwork Ask some groups to practice their words for the class.,the group which make the most sentences is the winner .Practice If If I get a-hundred-mark, If I watch too much TV, .
