Learn and master the parts of the body, the names of the illness and the expressions of giving advice.2. Learn to talk about health problems by using “Whats the matter? Learn to give appropriate advice to the certain health problems.Teaching MethodsTask-based language teaching method, the cooperative learning method, and multimedia-assisted teaching and learning method.Teaching AidsThe picture about illness; PPT.Teaching ProceduresStep 1 Warming-up (1)Leadin(Guess the meaning of phrase )have a cold have a sore back have a stomachache have a fever lie down take ones temperature(2)show a mind-map(设计说明:以学生熟悉本节课的重点词汇,进一步巩固,让学生们加深记忆,。给学生们展示主题思维导图为下面的教学做好铺垫。) Step 2 Presentation of words about body partsWork on Section A 1a.Play the game:Name each part of the body, look at the picture.write the correct letter a-mfor each part of the body.设计说明:在完成对新单词的认知之后,我给学生展示了一个Body的图片,这个图片涉及了身体部位的学习。加深了对新输入单词的理解巩固,为接下来疾病的学习打下基础。并且在这一环节中还训练了学生对输出信息的捕捉能力。) Step 3 Presentation and Practice The teacher shows some pictures and asks, “Whats the matter?” (Students repeat with teacher.)Then show some pictures on the screen and ask students to practice.(Work in pair)Ss1: Whats the matter?Ss2: I have a cold.Let students repeat with other pictures about other illness.Ask some students to use gestures to show the illness, and have others to guess.Make a model dialogue. (S1 does an action to express an illness.)T: Whats the matter?Ss: She has a fever.Let students practice other illness.A: Whats the matter?B: He has a sore back.Show other pictures, and ask students to talk about health problems of the persons in the pictures in pairs. 设计说明:将一些建议以图片的形式展示出来,降低信息差,使学生易于总结。Step 4 Listen and Say (1) Work on Section A 1b, listen and number the names 1-5.(2) Talk about the health problems of the persons in the picture. Eg: Nancy has a toothache, Sarah has a cold,(设计说明:第一次听力输入,让学生们掌握简单的信息,对本节课单词和词语应用的巩固,同时对英语口语的练习。)Step 5 Presentation 1cHave students look at the picture and read 1c, and tell students that if I have a stomachachefevertoothachesore throat now. Can you give me some advice? What should I do? You can use “should”or shouldnt。 Then ask them look at the picture, practice saying other problems. For example: You should drink more water. Have students work in pairs according to 1c and ask some pairs to act out their conversations.Show different pictures to students, have them practice in pairs.S1: Whats the matter with him/ her?S2: Yes, he/ she has a/ an toothache/ fever/ headache(Teach the new words)What should he/ she do?S2: He/ She should go to see a dentist/ lie down and rest/ drink a lot of water./ see a doctor He/ She shouldnt drink cold water/ play basketballWork in groups, and have students role-play between a doctor and a patient. Ask them to talk about the health problems and give advice in groups.(设计说明:在这两个环节中,以学生为主体,置学生于语言环境交际之中,调动学生的参与热情,运用发散思维让学生提出建议,为下面的知识输出打下伏笔。)Step 6 listening (1)Do 2a. Have students listen and match the problems with the advice.Then check the answer. (2)Play the tape again for the students and let them do 2b by themselves. Have students listen again and Fill in the blanks. Then play it again and check the answers.(设计说明:第二次听力输入,由易到难进一步复习巩固掌握重点句型。)Step 7 Pair workDo 2c. Let students read the conversations in 2c first. Then work in pairs, make a new conversation according to 2a and 2b. For example: A: Whats the matter? B: I have a toothache. A: Maybe you should see a dentist. B: Thats a good idea.(设计说明:置学生于语言环境交际之中,让所有的学生全部参与,进一步提高学生们的口语表达,同时检测了本节课的效率。)Step 8 Exercises一、根据句意和首字母提示完成单词。1.Her temperature is 38,so she has a f _.2.She didnt drink enough water yesterday ,so she has a very sore t _ now.3.I brush my t _ before I go to bed every day.二、用所给单词的适当形式填空。1.Each rabbit has four _ (foot).2.The old man eats only a little food every day. Help students to sum up how to give advice by using “should”and “shouldnt”, then ask them to give the right advice about different problems.(设计说明:让学生们自己总结今天所学的内容,进一步巩固所学知识。再用思维导图展示给学生们,使知识点更清晰,全面。进一步突出了本节课的重难点。)Step 10. homework 1、Copy and read each new words & dialogues of P1 & 2 three times.2、Interview your family members and write 2dialogues on their health.(设计说明:这一环节是对本节课的巩固和
