Good morning everyone. The lesson plan Im going to talk about is from Go for it Students Book. Unit 6 Im going to study computer science. Ill explain how to teach and why to do so from the following 6 aspects.、Understanding of the teaching material1. Status and functionThe theme of Unit 6 is about life goals. Ss are familiar with and interested in this topic. In this period, I will teach the key vocabularies about jobs firstly and then the target language with various activities. By studying this part, well enable students to express future goals and improve their skills .The target language is the basic contents of this unit. So its very important to learn this lesson well. 2. Teaching aims and demands:a) Knowledge objectivesFirst, Ss should master and use the key words and phrases properly, such as pilot, computer programmer, pianistThey should know how to use “What do you want to be when you grow up?” to ask others and also should know to use the new learnt structure “I want to be a/anwhen I grow up.”, “I am going to ”to explain their goals. b) Ability objectivesSecond, Ss are the real master of the class. I will give them more chances to speak out by pair woks and group works. In this way, I can improve students ability of cooperating with others. Ability of listening is also the key point which Id like to emphasize on. Based on exercise, they will listen to a piece of material. The ability of making a small conversation is also an important part I want to improve.c) Moral objectivesThey should have a clear understanding of the importance of studying hard.3. Teaching important and difficult pointsNow I talk about the important and difficult points, they are words and the usage of “I want to be a/an”“I am going to ”to express goals.、Analysis of the studentsThe students have learnt English for more than three years. They know some English, but most of them are afraid to speak English. For this lesson, the Ss have known the pattern “will be”. But they dont know how to use “be going to” as future. Most students have mastered the simple jobs, such as teacher, actorbut they dont know some difficult new words like computer programmer, pilot So this is what I teach in this period.III、Teaching methods and studying ways1. Teaching methodsIn this lesson, Ill mainly use the Communicative Approach and Task-based Language Teaching Approach as the main teaching methods. That is to say, Ill let the Ss get a better understanding of the target language. Ill give the Ss some tasks and arrange 4 kinds of activities: making up conversations, listening practice, group and pair work activities, writing a short letter. I will use PPT and some real objects as my teaching aids.2Studying waysAs for the studying ways, students will learn through speaking out and communicating and cooperating with their partners. They also should pay attention to the key information in listening practice.IV、Teaching procedureHere comes the most important part, my teaching procedure, it includes 6 steps.Step 1 Greeting and Lead-in It will cost 3 mins. I will play a piece of music which includes many kinds of jobs. Before I do it I will ask students to remember what they have heard. All the Ss can answer if they want. Then I will let the Ss guess the meaning of GROW UP.Purpose of my design: to review the simple jobs which students have learnt.Step 2 New knowledge learning and drillIt costs 15mins. In this part, I use PPT to introduce the words and then teach the new structures. As is known to all, middle students should learn English step by step. Before they learn the new structure, students are asked to master the new vocabulary. It is important to pay all the attention to learning new words. . Step 3 ListeningIt will cost 5 mins. To train Ss listening ability step by step. I will ask Ss to finish the exercise 1b on textbook. Step 4 Group work It will cost 6 mins. To offer Ss a stage to show their abilities of creating, acting and cooperating. I designed Talent show(Role-play) for Ss to talk about their dream jobs and plans.Step 5 Consolidation It will take 6mins. To consolidate the new knowledge in this class and help Ss put what they have learned in use. I will use Mr.Yus speech on dream to encourage students to finish the letter to themselves.Step6 SummaryIt will take 4 minutes. To sum up the knowledge, I will lead students to say what they have learned by numbers:8,2. and there is also some exercises.V. Blackboard workOk, this is my blackboard design. On the top is the title of this lesson. And I will write 8 key vocabularies and 2 sentence structures on the left, I will leave the right side of the blackboard for students to put up their dream.Evaluation of teac
