Unit 1 How can we become good learners ?教学目标:1. 能就“How to learn English”这一话题与同伴进行交流、会话,互相促进学习,使能力得到进一步提高。2. 能使用略读、查读的阅读策略获取3a文段中的信息,并完成相应的阅读任务。学情分析:通过上一节课的学习,学生对第一课时中出现的新单词及一些重点短语有了一定的掌握。大部分学生能够学会使用how 来询问做事的方式,并且能够联系实际,运用“by+doing”结构谈论自己的学习方法,并能给别人提出恰当的建议。重点难点:重点:完成相关的阅读任务,学习使用“do sth by doing ”的语言结构。难点:能联系实际,运用这一语言结构与同伴谈论自己的学习方法。教学准备:PPT 多媒体 教学过程: Step 1 Leading in(The teacher leads in the new lesson by greeting.)T:Hello ,boys and girls! Today we continue to learn Unit 1 How can we become good learners ? Learning how to learn is important .And I think learning how to pass an English test is also important ,too.T:There will be an English test next Monday .Can you tell me how you study for an English test ?1.Show some pictures on PPT and help the students talk about them and learn to say “by+doing” phrases such as by working with friends ,by making word cards , by reading the textbook ,by listening to tapes ,by asking the teacher for help ,etc.2.Present the phrases and the example conversation on the screen .-How do you study for a test?-I study byAsk several pairs of students to practice the conversation .Step 2 Reading T:You have so much good advice .Great! I know a girl ,her name is Wei Fen .She didnt like English all the time, but now she likes English very much .What happened to her? Do you want to know why ? Lets read the article about Wei Fens problems in study .And find the answers to the following questions.Q1 : Why did Wei Fen find it difficult to learn English ?Q2 : What did she do in English class ?Q3 : What is the secret to language learning ?1.Make the students understand the meanings of the questions ,the let them read the article in 3a and find the answers to the questions .2.Ask the students to read the article to find some key words and sentences .Then discuss the language points and translate the article in class firstly .After that the teacher should emphasize something important and difficult .Step 3 Complete 3bAsk the students to read the sentences in 3b firstly ,and read the article again ,very carefully .Complete the sentences individually ,using the words and phrases from the passage .Check the answers together .1. body language ,expressions 2. key words 3.conversations 4.useful 5.dictionary .Step 4 Grammar Focus1.Ask the students to read the questions and answers in the grammar box .Show the questions and answers on PPT and circle the word by and the words with ing in each sentence .Point out the four phrases that start with by and end with ing word .Tell students when they should use the structure.2.Then ask the students to read again and translate the questions and answers .3.Teacher should emphasize the important structure “by+doing” again .Step 5 Practice Ask the students to read the sentences individually firstly .Then give them five minutes to think about them .After that ask students to fill in the blanks and complete these sentences individually .Then check their answers together .Step 6 Homework Make a survey about the best ways to learn more English and write a passage about it. 板书设计:Unit 1 How can we become good learners ?Section A 3a-Grammar Focus-How do you study for an English test ?-I study by教学反思:本课时内容主要包含两
