人教2011课标版 英语 九年级全一册Unit 11 Sad movies make me cry Section A 3a-3c广东省梅州市兴宁市水口中学 刘丹 一、教材分析本单元以“Talk about how things affect you”为话题,谈论不同事物对情绪的影响。Section A总共分为四个模块,我所讲授的是3a-3c部分的内容,该部分围绕阅读展开。3a和3b分别围绕语篇内容和语言进行设计,3c要求学生在掌握课文内容之后,运用目标语言结构分角色表演该故事。阅读语篇是一篇关于寻找幸福的寓言故事,该故事还延续制Section B的听力部分。语言学习依然聚焦在感知和运用事物对人所产生的影响以及相应情感的表达方式上。 二、学情分析学生经过两年多的初中英语学习,已经掌握了一定的英语基础知识,他们也能够比较自觉地学习英语,并能用英语来表达不同事物给他们带来的某些感受。他们上课认真但是活动参与面不广,结合本校学生的特点,设计过程由简到难,鼓励他们主动参与教学活动,在课堂上能进入角色,以让全体学生参与进去,真正成为学习的主体。 三、教学目标 (一)语言知识目标 1、基本词汇: king prime minister banker queen examine palace power wealth fame pale friendship 2、基本词组:feel like call in neither.nor be worried about try to take my position in three days time 3、基本句型: 1)、 He slept badly and didnt feel like eating. 2)、 One day,a doctor was called in to examine the king. 3)、 Neither medicine nor rest can help him. 4)、 Money and fame dont always make people happy. 5)、 Im always worried about being followed by others. (二)、技能目标 1、谈论事物对人的影响理解并体会他人的感受并能表达自己的感受;2、掌握make使动用法,并能在实际情境中简单地运用;3、学会识别文章中的习语和词组,积累相关语言知识,提高阅读理解能力。 (三)、情感态度价值观目标了解寓言的特点,运用一些表达感情的词正确的表达自己的感情,并培养学 生正确处理事情,特别是不好的事情对自己的正面影响。 四、教学重难点 1. 教学重点: 1) 掌握本课时中出现的生词 2) 能够用英语描述自己的情感。 3)正确理解make 的用法。 2. 教学难点:掌握make的使动用法五、教学过程 (40 minutes):Step 1: OrganizationStep 2:Revision(2minutes) Reviewing the new words 、phrases and translating some sentences.friendship king prime minister banker queen examine palace power wealth fame pale feel like call in neither.nor be worried about try to 1) 一直等她让我很生气。Waiting for her made me angry.2) 为什么不去看电影呢?Why dont you/not go to the movies?Step 3: Presentation(Free talk) (3 minutes) Listen to music(如果幸福你就拍拍手)T: Ss, Are you happy? What can make you happy?T: As a teacher, teaching makes me happy . How about you,students?Ss: New clothes make me happy./Wealth(money)、Fame、Power、Family、Health.教师展示图片(happy tree).T: Who can sum up how to use “make”?Step 4:Practice(25 minutes)(一)、Reading1)Fast-reading 要求学生快速默读短文,熟知大意,并回答以下几个问题:Who is the man? Do you think he is happy?2)细读3a第一、二自然段,回答下面的问题:What happened to the king? Can medicine help the king? Why or why not? 并让学生齐声阅读这两段。 3) 细读3a第三、四、五自然段,回答下面的问题(表格中可体现): Why does power not make the prime minister happy? Why does money not make the banker happy? Why does fame not make the singer happy? 并让学生齐声阅读这三段。教师活动:学生在回答问题的同时,教师在多媒体上画上相对应的思维导图。 4) 组织朗读本文,然后回答3b的内容。 5) 短文内容巩固练习。教师将这篇短文改写成小故事,将一些重点的表达方式空出。让学生在规定的时间内补全故事。然后邀请若干同学给出自己的答案。(语言障碍排除和语言知识积累活动)(二)、Language notes1. He slept badly and didnt feel like eating. 他的睡眠很糟糕,他也不想吃东西。 feel like doing 想做某事 e.g. I feel like having a drink. 我想喝点酒。2. His face was always pale as chalk. 他总是面色苍白。 (as) pale as chalk是一种明喻修辞结构,“惨白;苍白”。 e.g. You look as pale as chalk today. Whats wrong?3. One day, a doctor was called in to examine the king. 一天,医生被传唤去给国王检查身体。 call in 召来,叫来 e.g. Call in the doctor at once. 马上去请医生来。扩展:call back 唤回,叫回; 回电话,再打电话call up (给)打电话; 想起,回忆起4. Neither medicine nor rest can help him. 药物和休息对他都无帮助。 neither . nor .“既不也不”(就近原则)e.g. Paul neither knows nor cares what happened. Neither Tom nor I have been to Beijing.扩展:both . and . 连接主语时,谓语动词用复数形式;either . or . 与neither . nor . 连接主语时,谓语动词常与离它最近的主语在人称和数上保持一致。e.g. 1)、Both my sister and my mother are teachers. 2)、Either Tom or I have to clean the room. 3)、Neither the twins nor John knows how to spell the word.5. Im always worried about losing my power. Many people are trying to take my position. 我总在担心失去我的权力。 很多人都想要取代我的位置。 1) be worried about =worry about 担心 e.g. We are all worried about my grandpas health. 我们总是担心我爷爷的健康。2) take ones position 取代某人的位置 同义词组:take ones place e.g. He takes my position/place. 他取代了我的位置。6. Im always worried about being followed by others. 我总是担心被人跟随。 be followed by 被跟随 e.g. Lightning was quickly followed by heavy thunder. 闪电过后,很快就是雷声滚滚(打雷跟在闪电之后)7. find a happy man in three days time. in three days time 3天的时间 in+时间段 在一段时间内,用于将来时 e.g. I will be back in three days. 我三天之内回来。(三)、Exercises(5 minutes)A. 根据句意及汉语提示完成单词。1Many people believe _ (权力) can bring them happiness.2The little girl looks _(苍白的)Whats wrong with her?3Health is more important than _(财富),so we should exercise every day to keep fit.4You will fail in this exam unless you do it _(careful)5The doctor _(examine) the old man.
