Theyre eating lunch. Whats the little monkey doing? Its playing with its mother.3、Have the ability to read the dialogue correctly.4、Make sentences by using the word bank on the book.二、Teaching key and difficult points1、Have the ability to use the sentence pattern: What are they doing? Theyre eating lunch.2、Have the ability to make sentences according to the word bank on the book.三、Teaching procedure1、Warm-up1) Teacher and the students greet each other.2) Teacher has a free talk with the students.T: Whats the weather like today?Ss: Its sunny and warm.T: Yes, so Chen Jie and Mike go to the zoo. Now, lets look at the pictures and listen and tick of “Lets try”. Then teacher corrects the answers.2、Presentation1) Let the students look at the picture on the screen and describe the pandas: They are so cute. / They like bamboo. / They are so fat. / 2) Let the students look at the picture on the screen, teacher says: Do you see the pandas? What are they doing? The students answer: They are eating bamboo. Teacher says: Yes, they are eating lunch. Teach the students to read the sentence.3) Look at the picture on the screen and answer the question: Whats the little monkey doing? Its playing with its mother. Teach the students to read the sentence.4) Let the students look at the screen and teacher asks: Do you see any elephants? Help the students answer: No, I dont. Then teacher shows the picture of elephants and asks: And now? Do you see any elephants? Help the students answer: Yes! Look there! Teach the students to read the sentence.5) Teacher asks: What is the elephant doing? Help the students answer: The elephant is drinking water.6) Teacher says: Chen Jie and Mike are in the zoo. What animals do they see? Lets listen and answer. Then teacher asks a student to answer: They see pandas, monkeys and elephants.7) Listen to the dialogue again and answer the question: What are they doing? Then teacher asks a student to answer.3、Practice1) Two students in one group to role play the dialogue. In the end, teacher gives praise for them.2) Finish the task of “Choose and tell”. Then teacher asks some students to make sentences and gives praise for them.Example: We are having an English class.
