Can I help you?2、 Ability target1) The right expression of buying clothes2) The ability of communicating with salesman.3、 Emotional target1) Form the right awareness of spending money.2) Dont compare with each other.Key and important points:1、The pronunciation of expensive.2、Ask and answer the price of goods.Teaching aids: dress/skirt/T-shirt/hat/shorts/paper moneyTeaching procedures:Step-1 Warming up1、 Greeting and free talk.2、 Enjoy an English song.3、 Play a game: remember the clothes, including the colour and the number, in 20seconds. environment(Designing purpose: Set the happy and relaxed atmosphere for students. Playing game can improve students interest. )Step-2 Lead in1、 Read the given words as quickly as possible: shoe、hat、coat、pants.2、 Select the letters: s、h、o、p from the given words. We get a new word: shop.3、 Show a picture of shopping mall, discuss: what can you do there? What can you buy there?(Designing purpose: Show how to form the words: shop and shopping, can help students easy to master them. Guessing Sarahs activity is a good way to cultivate students divergent thinking.)Step-3 Presentation 1、 Discuss the picture on page 61. Students can ask any questions about it.2、 Enjoy the video for the first time with the question: what are they talking about?3、 Listen to the 1 st-2nd sentences with the question: How does Sarah like the skirt?4、 Learn the new word: pretty. Play the game: drive a train, to practice the new word.5、 Play the passing game to practice the sentence structure: how do you like this_? Its very_. And then make a short dialogue with desk mate.6、 Listen to the 3rd - 5th sentences, then answer: How much is this skirt?7、 Learn the new word: expensive. 8、 Play the matching game to practice the sentences: how much is this_? Its _.9、 Listen to the 6th - 8th sentences and answer: will they buy the skirt? Why?(Designing purpose: In order to help students to understand the dialogue easily, we cut the long dialogue into several pieces and listen to them with questions. Its easy for them to master the sentences in situation.)Step-3 Practice1、 Follow the video and imitate the tone.2、 Group work: 4 students in a group to practice the dialogue.3、 Role play.(Designing purpose: Imitation is a good way to learn the standard English, especially the tone and tune.)Step-4 Consolidation and extension1、Enjoy my shopping video.2、There is a “shop ”in the classroom. You can find clothes and the learning stationery.
