Present a map of China, ask Ss to look at the map and find out where is Hong Kong. T: Whats the weather like in Hong Kong?(Teacher uses hands to show “hot”)Ss: Its hot in Hong Kong. Teacher review “box”, “not”, and then teaches “hot”. Write it on the lattices, and ask Ss to pay attention to the writing form.2. Use the same way in teaching “cold”, “cool” ,“warm”, and point out that “hot” and “cold”, “cool” and “warm”, and tell Ss they are antonym. 1. Show four pictures and ask Ss to answer it according to the pictures: Whats the weather like in.? Its .2. Play a game: Whats missing?3. Play a game: Guess, Guess, Guess.(Cover half the pictures and ask Ss to guess the weather: Its _4. Play the video on the books, first listen and then read after it. Then change the picture and ask Ss to challenge the reporter. 5. Lets chant. First listening: feel the beat; Second listening: follow it, and translate some words.1. Read the words in the blackboard loudly and copy the four words down.2. Make a weather report to parents.Use the map and the performance to present English words, so that Ss can feel the word in proper situation. Its easier for them to understand and remember it.
