Unit 5 My clothesPart A Lets learnThe analysis of the teaching materials:This unit is the fourth unit of the book. The topic is what you can do. It is consist of two dialogues, a reading material and a story. It aims to make the students master how to ask about and introduce someones clothes using the sentence structures they learn in the unit. They learn to describe things they can do in English in this lesson. This topic is close to the students daily life, so it is easy to arouse their learning interests. The students will review the verb phrases theyve learned. The analysis of the students: The students are in Grade 4. They have known someEnglish words and sentences. And they have already known how to learn English. But some of them dont like to speak English. They seldom speak English, even in class. Fortunately, they are still interested in English and willing to speak English Teaching Aims:1. Knowledge goals: (1) The students are able to listen, read, and say the sentences to ask others what they wear and express what they wear.(2) The students are able to listen, read, say and write the new words and phrases.2. Ability goal: The students are able to express their clothes in real situation.3. Emotional goal:The students know what they wear and develop a good habit of communicate in English. Teaching Important points:(1) The students are able to master the key words and phrases.(2)The students are able to use the sentences in real circumstances.Teaching Difficult point: How to help the students create new dialogues. Teaching methods:Situational teaching approach. Task-based teaching approach.Teaching procedures:Step 1 Greetings:Greet to the whole class as usual.Step 2 Warming up:Sing a song. Step3 Presentation: 1. Task one: Play a game: whats missing?The students should guess what is missing from the information that the teacher gives.2. Task two: Put up the clothes they draw.3.
