Teaching aims a.Knowledge aims 1.Students learn to listen, read and say the new words: these, tomatoes, carrots, yum, so big and try some. 2.Students learn to listen,read,and say the key sentences: What are these? They are. Are these.? Yes,they are./ No,they arent. 3.Read the dialogue using the right pronunciation and intonation. b. Ability aims: Cultivate the communication abilities and cooperation abilities. c.Emotion aims: Cherish the farmers hard work and dont waste the food.II. Teaching Keys and Difficult Points 1.Key point: Master the new words: these, tomatoes, carrots, yum, so big and try some. 2.Difficult points: Learn to use the key sentences: What are these? They are. .Are these.? Yes,they are./ No,they arent.III.Teaching Methods In order to better achieve the teaching aims, stress the key points and overcome the difficult points, the task-based language teaching,total physical response and total situational action will be adopted. IV. Learning Methods I will use a series of tasks to help students to learn happily. At the same time, students should understand the new knowledge through looking, speaking, playing, imagining, thinking and so on.V. Teaching Aids Word cards,real things,PPT and multimedia. VI、Teaching Design Step1. Warm up 1.Daily talk T:Whats the weather like today? Ss:. T: Yes,its a nice day.So I will take you to an interesting place. Its Old MacDonalds farm. 2.Enjoy a songOld MacDonald had a farm,answer the question. T:Which animals can you see at the farm? Ss:.(ducks,pigs,dogs,sheep and cows) Purpose: A beautiful song can help students better understand the topic of the lesson,stimulate students emotion and make them fully concentrated. Step2 Presentation 1.Teach the new words tomatoes and carrots by guessing the riddles. T:There is a fruit in my bag, Its red and round.Its juicy. Whats this?Ss:. 2.Show the real tomato and let students spell the missing letters according to the pronunciation.(t_m_t_).Play PPT and teach the words: “these” and “tomatoes”. 3.Take out some tomatoes and let students taste them.Teach the words:”try” and “yum”.And then complete the sentences. 4.Teach “carrots” in the same way. T:There is also a vegetable in the bag.Its orange and long.The rabbits like it best. Ss:“.”。 And then spell the missing words:c_rr_t. 5.Teach the phrase: so big. T: What are these? Ss:They are carrots. T:Are these carrots big or small? Ss: They are so big. 6.Teach the key sentences by classifying the fruit and vegetables.Then the teacher choose a word card and guess: Are these? Let students judge:Yes, they are./No, they arent. 7.Play a game. Let students practice the key sentences. 8.Show the questions,listen to the recording and find the answers. Are the carrots big or small? What color are the tomatoes? 9、Read the dialogue following the recording. And then act it in different roles.Purpose: Lead in the new class from guessing the real things can help students build the confidence of accepting the new knowledge. After learning the knowledge , I organize a game to mobilize the students sense and help them apply the words they learned.While learning the dialogue,I raise some questions. Reading with questions can enhance the ability of self-study and help build their confidence of learning English. Step3 Consolidation 1.Close the books and repeat the dialogue. 2.Show some pictures and make a new dialogue in groups. 3.Enjoy some pictures and let children know: The farmers are very hard every day. So we should cherish their labor. Dont waste the food. Purpose: Practice the students speaking and cooperating skills. Let them know how to express their minds. Step4 Homework 1.Design your favorite farm. 2.Read the dialogue for your parents.
