Unit 9 What does he look like? Section B 1a-1e七年级的学生对于人外貌描述人外貌这一话题还是很感兴趣,贴近学生生活。本部分在Section A所学知识的基础上,仍旧围绕人物外貌描述展开活动,并进一步拓展话题内容,需要学生运用形容外貌的词来完整的描述人物的长相,对学生的表达能力要求较高,需要学生多加操练。本课是Unit 9 Section B 1a-1e为主要内容的听说课,围绕询问外貌,描述外貌特征等单元重点功能结构展开,主要以听和口头表达的方式呈现。一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目标:A. 能熟练掌握描述人物的词汇: blonde, mouth, round, face, eye, singer B. 能熟练掌握描述人物相貌的相关句型:what does he/she look like?Hes really tall./She has long blonde hair.She has a round face/She has big eyes/She has a small nose.He wears glasses.2 能力目标:A. 能观察图片,挖掘图片提供的相关信息。 B能听懂听力内容,记录关键信息,并能做相应的口头输出。3情感目标:鼓励学生用口头表达来描述别人的外貌,激发学生对生活的热情。4学习策略:听并记录关键词。二、重点难点能正确、熟练地描述人物外貌三、教学设计导入Step 1 Free TalkTeachers activities:1. Show the cartoons and ask students to describe pictures. “What does she look like?”2. Let students read the new words and sentences after the teacher.3. Let group A teaches group B and then group B teaches group A.Students activities:1. Students try to describe looks with he help of teachers:“She is short. She is thin. She has short black hair. She has a round face. She has two small eyes. She has a small nose. She has a small mouth.”2. Students read the new words after the teacher.3.Group A PK group B.教学目的:情境导入,教师通过樱桃小丸子图片的外貌,复习Section A的目标语言,同时运用图片人物形象的变化将本课时的所有生词导出,让学生在情境当中学习新单词并运用新单词。Step2 活动1a-1b (input)Teachers activities:1. Ask students to work on 1a, Match the words with the pictures and ask: “who has a big nose? Who has blonde hair? Who has a small mouth? Who wears glasses? Who has a round face? Who has big eyes? Who has black hair? Who has a long face?”2. Teach students to have a chant and then let students chant:“Face, face, face, I have a round face.Eyes, eyes, eyes, I have big eyes.Nose, nose, nose, she has a small nose.Mouth, mouth, mouth, she has a small mouth.Hair , hair, hair, she has blonde hair.”3. Talk about some famous people and then ask students finish 1b with the help of some interesting pictures.Students activities:1. Students match the words with the pictures and answer : “Picture d has a big nose. Picture a has blonde hair. Picture c has a small mouth. Picture b wears glasses. Picture c has a round face. Picture a has big eyes. Picture c and b has black hair.Picture b has a long face. ”2. Students chant together and PK in groups.3. Students talk about some famous people and then finish 1b.教学目的:完成课本1a-1b内容,巩固本课时的语言知识。将本课时重点句子编一个歌谣让同学唱读,引起学生的兴趣,巩固所学的单词和句子,让学生在游戏中学以致用。1b讨论的famous people 是在1a及chant基础上的巩固练习,为1c-1d的听力做好相应的输入铺垫。Step 3 活动1c-1d (listening)Teachers activities:1. Show a picture of another two famous persons: Johnny Dean and Tina Brown.Ask students “who is Johnny ?”“What does Johnny Dean look like?” “Who is Tina Brown?” “ Have a guess Tina Browns job. What does Tina Brown do?”2. Let students work on 1c. Listen and write Tinas job.3. Listen and write down What they look like in the chart. 4.Students go on talking about the looks of Johnny and Tina. 5.Ask students listen and imitate the dialogue.6.Summarize how to describe a person.Students activities:1. Talk about the looks of Johnny Dean and guess what Tina Browns job is.2. Listen and take notes. Then tell us what Tinas job is.3. Listen to the tape again and fill in the chart. 4. Group A and group B make the dialogue about the looks of Johnny and Tina.5. Students read after the tape and imitate the dialogue. 6. Try to summarize how to describe a person.教学目的:听前,先让学生对图片中的人物进行描述,并猜测其身份,让学生观察图片,获取相关信息并让学生做好听前预测。第一次听一遍,验证听前猜测。第二次听两遍,记录外貌描写的关键信息,并让两个小组以对话的形式根据表格内容对听的关键信息进行复述。第三次听一遍,学生进行语音语调模仿,然后齐读巩固知识。完成三次听力之后,学生再次观察表格,总结材料是从哪些方面来描述一个人的外貌。最后,在老师的引领下让学生对如何全方位的描述一个人的外貌有一个更加透彻的认识,同时帮助听后的语言输出。Step 4 活动practice (output)Teachers activities1. Let students have a free talk. They can talk about their best friends、favorite teachers、classmates、stars、singers. They can ask and answer like this: S1:Who is your best friend ?S2: My best friend is.S1: What does he look like?S2: He is tall and thin. He has short black hair. He has a round face. He has two big eyes,a small nose and a small mouth. He wears a pair of glasses.2. Design a guessing game to talk about their teachers.Students activities1. Two students work in pairs and describe others.3. Students describe their teaches in the classroom and then other student
