Where were you yesterday?2、What day is it today? What day was it yesterday?3、Whats the date ? What was the date yesterday?Step2:Lead-inTo show some pictures of school that were taken years ago.And ask students:1、Do you knom here?2、Is this the school that we are studing in?Then show some pictures of current school.And let the students find out what the changes are.1、There wasnt a dining hall three years ago.2、There wasnt a students apartment three years ago. Step3:PresentationI will use pictures to lead the new words dining hall.gym、grass.About“ago”,I will use sentences to lead. I have a new mobile phone now. I didnt have it one year ago.Do you know whats the meaning of ago?Then write down these words:dining hall、gym、grass、ago、years ago、months ago、last year、last month.First,lead them to read these words.I read one time,the student read three times. Pay attention to the prounaciation.Then divide the class into two groups,and read these word one by one.And then teacher reads one word in a low voice,Students read in a high voice.Then use the different pictuers to lead the sentence. There was no gym in my school twenty years ago. Now theres a new one in our school.And analysis these sentences to the students. Next use the other pictures lead the new sentences. Such as: There wasnt a dining hall ten years ago. Now theres a new one in our school.Then let students listen to the sound recording and read after it.To practice these sentence I will use the game of“Whats missing”.There _ no _in my school twenty years _._ theres a _ one in _ school.Step4:Consolidation.Find the mistakes.To show the piture to students,and lead them to find the mistakes and say it out.At that time,there were no gyms.People didnt go by bus.People couldnt use the Internet.Pay attention to the past tense.Who find the most mistakes,who is the minner.Step5:Summary.Go through th content on the blackboard and sum up what we have learnt in this class.Step6:Home work.To find more changes of our school,and write it down.Step7:Blackboard design Unit4 Then and now L
