This part focuses on some short phrases , especially the past tense form of irregular verbs. And it also makes students use the key sentences “Where did you go?” and “What did you do?”Through learning this lesson, it can cultivate students communicative ability. Analysis of the StudentsThe students in grade 6 have learnt English for 3 years. They have certain learning foundations. They can use lots of words and sentences to express their ideas and communicate with others. It will be helpful for them to master this part and extend more knowledge. . Teaching AimsA. Knowledge Aims1. To be able to indentify and say the words: rode a horse, rode a bike, went camping, went fishing, hurt my foot.2. To be able to listen, understand, and use the sentence patterns: Where did you go? What did you do?B. Ability Aims1. To be able to develop the abilities of speaking, and listening 2. To be able to use the new words and sentence structures to communicate with others.C. Then look at this picture, what did they do?.2、Teach the words and show them on the blackboard. 3、T: We see many beautiful places. Where did you go? And what did you do there?4. Watch. Tick or cross.T: Lets come to see our friend John. Where did he do? What did he do?5、Make a match.6、Listen again and answer the questions.7、Group work. Make a survey and do a report.T: 4 students in a group. Ask and answer like this dialog. Then fill in the table. At last, one of your group will do the report.1.Students answer: rode a horse, rode a bike, went camping, went fishing.2、Students learn and practice these new words.3、S: I went to. I went fishing there,etc.4、Students listen and watch. Then tick or cross. And correct the sentences.5、Students finish this part.6、Students listen again and answer questions.7、Work in groups. They ask and answer. Then they finish the table and try to report in their group.
