Purpose: In order to help the Ss pay more attention to the target languages, try to make them understand the meaning. At the same time , introduce the new sentence patterns.2) Greet the Ss and then talk about the weather ,the feelings on that day ,lead to the title of this unit like this: How are you today ?Hows the weather today?Are you happy today? Why?Then say I am very happy today. Do you know why I am so happy today. Because we are going to learn a new unit, Unit 4.What is the title of this unit? So in this unit ,we are going to learn to talk about how to get to places.Step2. Revision 1). Purpose: In order to check if the Ss remember the words and expressions we learned yesterday.2). Activities:(1)Spell the key words in this class we learned yesterday one by one.(2) Ask students the Chinese meaning, and try to let them answer the English word.(3) Write the key sentences down on the blackboard. Ask some students to try to make sentences with the key words and phrases. .Step 3 Presentation1) PurposeHelp the Ss learn and use the key words , key phrases and target languages well.2)Activities:1) Present the situations for the students . 2)Practice the oral English according to the pictures .3) Play the tape-recorder to the students to listen to the tape and finish 1b.4) Look at the listening material and listen to the tape again and try to repeat following the tape.5) Pair-work and group-work.
