At the farm1、 教材分析 本单元是人教版四年级下册第四单元Unit4 At the farm 。本单元主要以农场为上课内容背景,以农场里的动物和农作物为话题。A部分学习的主题是农场里的蔬菜,B部分是学习农场里的农作物。2、 学情分析1、年龄特征四年级的学生年龄在十岁左右,记忆和思维具有直观性和形象性。所以我要用直观教学,并在教学环节中穿插游戏和竞赛,使学生保持对课程的兴趣与学习热情。2、学习状况他们在三年级开设了英语课程,学习了一年的英语后对英语有了一定的了解并形成了基础知识。但由于课时少,语境不丰富,使学生掌握的语言知识和技能还是有限的。所以在教学过程中,要不断整合前面的知识,循序渐进的提高学生掌握和运用语言的能力。3、知识水平学生在之前学过一些描述蔬菜和农场等名词的词,比如red、yellow、green、long、big等。会询问What is this?What is that?等问题,并会回答。这对本节课学习What are these?What are those ?的理解和回答有很大帮助。3、 教学目标(1) 知识与技能1. 能听、说、认识单词:carrot,green beans,tomatoes, potatoes, onion及其复数形式,并介绍各种农场蔬菜。2. 能够在情境中运用句型What are these? These/Theyre.Are these .?Yes, they are.No,they arent.询问并回答这种蔬菜名称。3. 能够在情境中运用句型They are so big/good!描述物品特点。(2) 过程与方法1. 通过创设农场情景,让学生跟着Mike 和Sarah 一起参观Old MacDonald 农场菜地,在情境中学习蔬菜单词。2. 借助图片,让学生复习蔬菜单词的并运用。(3) 情感态度与价值观培养学生亲近大自然,多走进自然,鼓励学生多吃蔬菜,不挑食。四、教学重难点1. 能听、说、认读单词:carrot,green beans,tomato,potato,onion及其复数形式。2. 能够听懂会说句型:What are these?They are.教学难点:会询问这些是什么并进行回答,会对复数的事物进行描述。让学生可以熟练询问这些是什么并进行回答。五、教具准备书本,图片,多媒体,黑板六教学过程Step1 Warm upGreeting . Ask if they like the cartoon character :Shaun the sheep.T: I know you all like watching TV. I want to ask you if you like him.(Show the character Shaun the sheep on the screen)Step2 Presentation1Play a short video with music for the students .They show great interest in the class.And they want to know the topic of todays lesson.And I write the topic “At the farm” on the blackboard.And show a picture of farm to explain what a farm is .They can have a direct image of farm.Step3 Presentation 2Background: Old MacDonald has five fields which are grown various vegetables.Today we visit the farm with the lead of Mike and Sarah.Part1 .The first fieldT:What are these?S:They are carrots.Show the dialogue :Look at the carrots.They are so red/long.I like carrots.(Help the students to know the word carrot.And get to know the plural form carrots.)1. Part2 Bring the students to the other 4 fields and learn the new words green beans,tomato,potato and learn the plural form.When the students meet the vegetables they dont know,they will ask”What are these?” And I will lead them to answer “They are greenbeans./tomatoes/potatoes/onions.”Step 4 PracticeI make a chant to help the students to consolidate the sentence patterns.。What are these? Theyre carrots.What are these? Theyre green beans. What are these? Theyre tomatoes.What are these? Theyre potatoes.Are they onions?Yes,they are.Step 5 Production I design the lunch time that Sarah and and Mike are invited to have lunch with Old MacDonald.The dishes are covered and they need to guess what they are.T:What are these? Theyre Are they ?Step 6 Role play Ill give them some pictures.And they need to do a dialogue with their partner.Step 7 Consolidation .Give students some pictures and ask them to speak the name of vegetables.Step 8HomeworkDraw(画画) a farm you like.Blackboard DesignUnit 4 At the farm1
