牛津高中英语教学设计单元:Unit 1 Laughing is good for you板块:Grammar and usageThoughts on the design: 本节课是有关于现在时态的语法课的拓展和练习。在上一节课的基础上主要是以学生发现的形式帮助学生整理和归纳现在时态的一些特殊规律,并辅以相应的练习帮助学生进一步掌握。Teaching aims: After this class, the students will be able to: 1Tell the difference between simple present tense and present continuous tense when they indicate future action.2Know more about special rules of the present perfect tense.3Use the four present tenses well.Teaching procedures: Step 1 Revision (PPT4-6)Ask the students to finish 5 multiple choice questions. See if they can do them well to check what they learned in the last period.Explanation复习的环节对上一节课的内容进行简单回顾,对学生来说也是一种课前热身。而且考查时态的单选题通常有上下文语境,有利于学生对时态正确运用的理解。Step 2 Simple present to indicate future action (PPT 4)1. Show the students a group of sentences, asking them to study them to see what is special about them. (Allow them to discuss if they need.) The TV play begins at 8:30. The movie starts in 10 minutes, hurry up! My plane takes off at 5 in the afternoon and I have to be at the airport by 3:30. Conclusion: We use simple present to talk about things that will happen in the near future as planned on a schedule or a timetable.2. ComparisonGive the students two sentences mentioned before. Ask them to work in pairs and find out the difference between the two ways to refer to future action.The TV play begins at 8:30a.m.It will happen repeatedly.Mr. Brown is coming to give a lecture about stand-up next week.It will happen only once.1. Give the students 3 sentences in present perfect tense and ask them they the sentences all use present perfect tense. (Allow them to discustudents) Great changes have taken place in our hometown in the past three years So far, we have finished half of the task Up till now, he has published three books. Conclusion: when there are phrases like “in the past/last three years”, “so far”, “up till/to now” in the sentence, the sentence will be in present perfect tense.2. Give the students another 4 sentences in present perfect tense and ask them if they can find the rule. (Allow them to discustudents) This is the third time that I have been here. It is the best movie that we have seen. It is the first time that he has met such a situation. It is the most interesting novel that I have ever read. Conclusion: Present perfect tense is used in the sentence patterns like: It (This/That) is the first/second/third time that +present perfect tense It (This/That) is the best/ most interesting(最高级)that + present perfect tense Explanation仍然让学生通过讨论和发现的方式,在老师的引导和帮助下归纳总结出有关现在完成时的规则,符合学生的认知规律。Step 4 PracticeExercise about present tenses.1.
