Unit 7 Its raining!第一课时Section A (1a-2c)教学设计教学内容分析本单元的中心话题是谈论天气. 整个单元的内容围绕天气展开听、说、读、写的活动。通过本单元的学习使学生掌握描述天气的基本词汇以及对天气的提问,并能熟练地掌握和运用现在进行时态描述在不同的天气背景下人们的活动。通过丰富多彩的课堂活动,使学生能够在实践中体会到学习英语的乐趣,更积极地运用目标语言,培养学生在实际生活中综合运用所学语言的能力。教学目标1、学习重点词汇rain,sunny, cloudy, snow, windy,weather,cook Moscow,Toronto,Boston,2、掌握描述天气状态的形容词和动词的现在分词的构成与使用。 3、学会现在进行时态的特殊疑问句、一般疑问句的用法及回答。教学重点A 学习并掌握词汇raining, sunny, cloudy, snowing , windy,weather,cookB 熟练掌握现在分词的构成和现在进行时的用法;学会用所学知识正确地描述天气情况。教学难点运用目标语言来对天气进行问答,并且会问答人们正在进行的活动。 Hows the weather? Its raining/windy/cloudy/sunny/snowing/.Whats he doing? Hes watching TV.课时安排:One period: Section A(1a-2c)Teaching procedures Step. Warming-up and Lead in 1. Greet the student and check the homework.2. Watch a video program about the weather.Step. Presentation 1. (Show some pictures of the weather) Let student look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is. Student learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures.2. Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the right. Ask the student to match the words with pictures.3. Check the answers.Step . Game (Hows the weather?)1. (Showing some pictures on the big screen.) Ask Ss Hows the weather?2. Student guess and answer the question.Step . Listening 1. Now lets look at the city names in the box in 1b. Please read after me. Student read the cities after the teacher.2. Now, Well hear four conversations. Listen carefully, point out each city in the picture as it comes upon the tape. Play the recording a second time. Ask student to write the name of the city in the picture of its weather. 3. Check the answers.Step . Pair work 1. Tell the student: If you are in one of the places in the picture above. Talk about the weather with your friends in another city on the phone.2. Make a model with a student like this:T: Hi! Hows the weather in Beijing?S1: Its sunny.3. Student work in pairs.
