Section B (2a-2c)?课 时:共5课时,第4课时授课对象:七年级学生一、教学目标设置(一)设置依据依据1:新课程标准三级要求:能听懂连续的指令并完成任务。能引出话题,并用正确的语音、语调进行几个回合的交谈。能写出简单的语段,如指令,规则,建议。依据2:单元教学目标: 运用所学的目标语言描述动物并表达对动物的喜好。依据3:本课时教学目标:1、通过泛读课文,能了解大象的能力,大象濒临灭绝的原因。 2、运用skimming&scanning阅读策略,能回答文章的细节问题,并能总结段落的结构。3、能根据概念图口头复述课文。二、教材分析1.本单元在整套教材中的功能和地位:本节课的教学内容是人教版goforit七年级下册unit5whydoyoulikepandas?在整个初中3年的学习中,多个单元与本单元所涉及的语言知识相关联,如七年级上册Unit6Doyoulikebananas?和Unit9Myfavoritesubjectisscience.为相关话题单元,为本单元提供了话题和语法知识的支持。本单元涉及中考24个话题中的第22个话题:自然。talkaboutanimals是中考中常见的话题。涉及11个日常交际用语中第2个关于态度表达中的talkaboutpreference。所以学好本单元会为以后的学习打下基础。2本课时在整个单元中的功能和地位:本节课为第五单元第四课时。本课时是一节阅读课,教学内容贴近学生实际生活,容易激发学生交流的兴趣。同时,在循序渐进提高学习的过程中,本课时教学内容的学习,会为本单元的进一步学习奠定词汇、句式基础,为最后语言的输出提供有力的支持。3.学生情况分析学生了解一定的动物英文名称和描述性形容词;基本了解特殊疑问句的用法;会对动物话题感兴趣。三、教学重点:1. vocabularies:flag, symbol, water, kill, ivory, cut, save,Thailand, be in great danger, cut down, get lost, one of, be made of.2. Using the skimming and scanning strategies to get important information from the reading passage.四、教学难点:1. Retell the passage according to the mind map.2. Describe the reasons why animals are in danger and the solutions by their own words.五、教具:multi-media; ppt; video六、教学步骤:Step1 Lead-in1. T: We have learned many animals in this unit. What are they?Show them the pictures of animals and lead them to review these words. Then ask them: What animals do you like? Why do you like them?Let the student ask the next student just like I asked him until the end of the line.2. T: Can you guess what animals I like best? (Elephant.)Elephants are very smart. They can do lots of things. Then what can they do? Lets enjoy a short video and see what elephants can do.3. Show some figures to tell them that elephants are in danger, why? Lets try to find reasons in the reading passage.【教学设计说明】通过图片复习本单元的单词,通过对话复习本单元的句型,然后由教师最喜欢的动物大象引入对大象的介绍,先介绍大象的能力,接着说明大象面临的现状,导入阅读。Step2 PresentationStudy the new words with the help of pictures. Then all of the students read these new words twice.【教学设计说明】图片教学法是呈现新知识最简单有效的方法之一,学生通过图片,学习本课重要词汇,为最后语言的输出扫清学习障碍。Step3 Reading1. Skimming1) T: Open your book and turn to page 29. Read the article quickly and try to get the main idea. Then answer this question:What is the best title for the article? (lets save the elephants.)2) T: After knowing the main idea of this article, now lets read it again and try to get the topic sentence of each paragraph.Para 1-the introduction of elephants.Para2-elephants are smart animals.Para3-elephants are in great danger.Reading tips:You can often find the topic sentence from the first sentence or the last sentence of the paragraph.2.ScanningScan the article and answer the questions.1) Scan paragraph 1 and answer the three questions.2) Scan paragraph 2 and fill in the mind map. Then students practice retelling this paragraph according to the mind map.3) Scan paragraph 3 and fill in the chart. Then students practice retelling this paragraph according to the chart.3. Analyze the structure.Students finish exercise 2c on page 29, and then summarize the structure of this article.【教学设计说明】阅读文章应先略读再细读。因此第一步要求学生通过略读找到关键词语推测文章的标题以及各个段落的中心句;第二步要求学生扫读获取各个段落的关键信息,并通过思维导图的呈现锻炼学生复述的能力;第三步要求学生从整体上感知文章,分析文章结构,对文章有更深刻的了解。Step 4 Discussion1. Besides elephants, do you know other animals that in danger?Introduce the ten rare animals in danger in China to students with pictures.2. Why are these animals in danger?Play a short video and let them think about this question.3. What can we do to save them?Students discuss this question in group and then share their ideas with us.Here are some of the teachers advice: Save the trees and forest. Dont buy things made of animals. Dont eat rare animals(珍稀动物). Do from ourselves and ask our friends to follow the rules.Animals are our friends. We must protect them. Because to protect animals is to protect ourselves. If we dont do that, we will be killed by
