This passage is about friendship , and nearly all the teaching materials center on it. By studying this reading passage, well enable students to know the importance of friends and friendship, and value the friendship between friends by learning the reading text. At the same time,develop the students reading ability and learn to use some reading strategies such as guessing, skimming, scanning and so on. As we all know, reading belongs to the input during the process of the language learning. The input has great effect on output, such as speaking and writing. Therefore, this lesson is in the important position of this unit. If the students can master it well, it will be helpful for them to learn the rest of this unit. Part 2学情分析AnalysisofthestudentsMystudentsarefirst-gradestudentsofseniorhighschool.TheyhavebeenlearningEnglishinju-niorhighschoolandhaveaccumulatedacertainnu-mberofvocabularies.Theyhavemasteredsomesimplelearningstrategies. However, the differences in students personality and English proficiency are very large. Somyteachingdesignwillmeettheneedofdiffe-rentstudents. Iwillseizethestudentspsycholo-gicalcharacteristicsandstimulatestudentsinterest,sothattheywilllearntoparticipateinthest-udy.Part 3 教学目标TeachingAims:Knowledge aims:1.Get the students to learn the following useful new words and expressions:Netherlands German outdoors thundering entirely power curtain dusty go through set down a series of on purpose in order to face to face be crazy about in ones power2.Help the students to find the words and phrases that they find most difficult and help them to understand.Ability aims: Help the students develop their reading ability and learn to use some reading strategies such as guessing, skimming, scanning and so on.Emotional aims: Enable the students to realize the importance of friends and friendship, value the friendship and tell true friends from false friends in their lives.Part 4. 教学重难点Thekeyanddifficult teaching points (1)Keypoints: Get the students to learn different reading skills. What does the signal of the German Nazis stand for?Purpose of my design: attractthestudentsattentionandbringthemintodiscussionStep3: 读前 Pre-reading Ask the students the questions in Pre-reading on page 2: Why do you need friends? Make a list of reasons why friends are important to you. Does a friend always have to be a person? What else can be your friend?Purpose of my design: to begin to focus students attention on the main topic of the reading passage.Step4: 读中While-reading1. 略读 Skimming(1) Get the students to guess who was Annes best friend in our passage through the title and the pictures on page2. (2) Get the students to read the first paragragh to confirm their guessing.2. 查读ScanningA. Readthetext. Dothefollowingquestions by themselves. When and where did Anne live? How did most people keep a diary? Whats the name of Annes best friend? Why did Anne feel crazy about everything to do with nature? Why did Anne stay awake on purpose one night?B. Workinpairstodiscusstheir answers.3.跟读 Following the tape to read The first time: Play the tape of this passage and ask the students to read it silently.The second time: The students read the passage loudly.Purpose of my design: To develop the studentsreading skills, such as predicting, skimming, scanning and so on. Step 5: 读后Post-readingAsk the students to read the passage again. Then try to retell it to their partners.Purpose of my design: To develop the students ability to retell a passage. This is the process of output, which is very important for the language learning.Step 6: 巩固Consolidation1. Ask the students to describe Anne with several adjectives.2. Get the students to find out the words and expressions they think difficult. Then explain to them.Purpose of my design: To make the passage impress the students and to make them familiar with the words and expressions in this passage.Step 7: 家庭作业 Homework1.
