Unit 6 Ancient stories一、教材分析本单元围绕着谈论“历史故事”来展开听、说、读、写的训练。通过历史故事木马屠城、古代奥林匹克运动会、古希腊众神、庞贝古城等多角度的资讯来贯穿文化的传递和交流,拓展学生的文化背景知识与国际视野。语法方面主要学习现在完成时与”since, for”连用及现在完成时态与一般过去时态的用法区别。并培养学生在完成一篇有关特洛伊战争的短篇故事尝试正确使用这些词。具体课型、课时安排如下:单元板块课时单元总课时全书总课时Reading2.588*8=64Listening0.5Grammar1.5Speaking0.5Writing0.5More practice1Study skills/Project1Culture corner and Self -assessment0.5二、教学对象分析1 学生对“历史故事”这个话题比较感兴趣,带有神秘色彩的异国文化题材对中学生也很有吸引力,容易唤起他们求知的欲望,有利于开展本单元的各项听、说、读、写任务。2 学生在初一时已经接触过现在完成时,但学生对其用法是不甚了解的,在本单元作专项系统的学习。学生们在上个单元解了“现在进行时”的意义、构成方法以及与之经常连用的几个时间副词和介词,而现在我们进一步要求学生理解现在完成时态与一般过去时态的用法区别,这是现在完成时态的另一个重点和难点,在教学中教师需要可学的引导,并结合实际运用重点操练。三、单元教学目标1.认知目标: 学习水平学习内容学习水平的描述语音1. 能掌握句子中的节奏。2. 能流利地朗读课文及与课文水平相当的短文,语音、语调、句子重音和停顿基本正确。词汇1. 重点词汇ancient, war, understand, difference, captain, soldier, huge, pull, main, celebrate, stupid, midnight, empty, except, secret, side, quietly, army, enter, succeed, trick, prince, queen, steakl, punish, scene, sir词组:2. 拓展词汇Trojan, pyramid, Greek, capture3短语:act out, make jokes about, except for, be full of, in the end, come on句型Useful sentences:1. Act out a play.写(writing)1.Complete a short story about “Trojan War”2. 能笔头回答课文内容提出的问题。3. 能用本单元学习的重点词汇、句型进行造句。4. 能写简短故事。2. 思想情感目标:1)通过谈论“交友”的相关话题,帮助学生快速适应新环境以及找到新朋友。2)结合课文的内容,引导学生通过邮件的形式结交更多的笔友,拓展自己的视野。3. 能力发展目标:1)能够在听、说、读、写等语言综合实践活动中运用本单元的重点词汇、句型与语法。2)在学习中提高交流和传递信息的能力,在写作中正确运用连词使文章更连贯和流畅。3)通过指导学生在模拟交际中运用所学的知识,培养学生探究学习、合作学习、自主学习的能力。四、单元教学重点1. 学生熟练掌握重点词语,词组及句型。2指导学生利用所学句型正确表达思想、进行交际活动。3语法方面主要学习现在完成时与”since, for”连用及现在完成时态与一般过去时态的用法区别。并培养学生在完成一篇有关特洛伊战争的短篇故事尝试正确使用这些词。五、单元教学难点语法方面主要学习现在完成时与”since, for”连用及现在完成时态与一般过去时态的用法区别。并培养学生在完成一篇有关特洛伊战争的短篇故事尝试正确使用这些词。六、教学策略 1. 引导学生积极主动的通过预习完成可以自己学会的部分,课堂学习完成学习的重难点,通过复习及归纳总结完善单元的学习。2. 在教学中以旧带新,引导学生用正确的句子表达思想。 3. 适当补充与课文话题相关的内容,拓展学生的阅读视野。七、学习策略1初步接触略读(skimming)和找读(scanning)这两种阅读策略。2学会在阅读过程中通过上下文来猜测生词含义的方法。3关注对话中特殊疑问句的提问和相应的回答,以便准确记录相关信息。八、媒体的选择与设计1充分利用和发挥基本的教学媒体,如录音机,教师的body language、板书的作用。2适时、合理地使用多媒体,增大课堂的容量,更好地辅助教学。九、各课时教学内容安排建议课时教学内容及课型教学目标及简单教学环节设计第1课时Reading A 新授课一、定位: input-based,训练各种听与说的语言微技能,并给予阅读学习策略的指导,读为主。一、教材分析:(一)教学内容:让学生阅读历史故事“特洛伊木马计(The Trojan horse)”,了解特洛伊战争的背景和典故。以阅读理解为主。(二)教学目标1、认知目标:1)通过图片和查找相关历史遗迹和国家文化文物及名胜古迹。让学生了解古今中外的文化与文明等相关知识。2) 让学生在了解相关历史知识的同时,认识和掌握相关的地名、国名以及词汇与短语。2、能力发展目标:1)通过多种形式的阅读活动与任务,帮助学生理解课文。2)指导学生运用一定的阅读理解学习策略,培养一些阅读微技能,如:扫读,获取文章大意:推断,深层理解;通过构词法或上下文猜测生词大意等。3)指导学生了解故事性文体的结构。(三)重点和难点1、重点:1)让学生在了解相关历史知识的同时,认识和掌握相关的地名、国名以及词汇与短语。2) 学生运用一定的阅读理解学习策略和一些阅读微技能,如:扫读,获取文章大意;推断,深层理解;通过构词法或上下文猜测生词大意等。2、难点:让学生运用一定的阅读理解学习策略和一些阅读微技能,如:扫读,获取文章大意;推断,深层理解;通过构词法或上下文猜测生词大意等。二、教学设计:Step 1 Warming up1. Ask a few Ss soome questions about “Trojan War”a) Do you know any of the historical places in our country or in foreign countries?b) Where are the famous pyramids?c) How about the stonehenge?d) Where is Kinkaku-ji?Make sure that all the students remember the three historical places.2:Cartoon talkLet the Ss look at a cartoon picture on page 1 and say something about “Trojan War”Step 2 Leading in 1.Show some pictures about places of interests and ask students if they know about them, if they know please say something about them.2.Ask Ss to Match the pictures with the correct countries by writing the letters in the blanketsand finish exercise A on page 82 . Then chect the answers.Today we are going to Read a story about the “Trojan War”。Step 3:Pre-reading1) Ask Ss to look at the pictures ,and the titles on page 83. Then finish exercise B on page 82.2) Vocabulary presentation: Get Ss to learn some new words by showing some pictures.3) Cocabulary exercise:Get Ss to finish exercise C1and C2 on page 84 to consolidate the new words.Step 4:While-reading 1)First reading Tell the students that they are going to read a famous tale. Ask the students to skim it on page 83. Pre-writingAsk: How would you feel if you were one of the sodiers waiting inside the wooden horse?Then encourage nthe students to express their feelings.3. Listening (1) Ask: Do you know how the Trojan War started? Let some students to express their ideas or guesses.(2) Say :Now listen to the recorder. After listening, youll know how the war started. You need to listen and put the pictures in the right order.(3) Leave two minutes for the students to look at the pictures and get the main idea of each picture.(4)Play the recorder for the students to listen and put orders. Then check the answers in class.(5) Play the recorder again, and ask the students to listen and write down the key words of each picture. Then the teacher collects the key words.4. Writing(1)Get the Ss to fill in the blanks with the words in the brackets and other words as necessary in class.(2)Check the answers in class.(3)Get two or three students to read aloud their passages to the class. Homework(1) The War of Red Cliff is very famous in the history of China.(2) Write down the start of the Trojan War, with the help of the key words.第3.第4课时language一、Objectives To learn the present perfect tense and the simple past tense,and use them to work out the problem.二、Main point and Difficult point.Understand the differences between present perfect tense and the simple past tense.Letthe students use these language freely in studing.三、Contents本单元的重点语法是:带有since 和for的现在完成时;现在完成时和一般过去时区别,这两种时态以前学生已经接触过,在本单元再通过反复机械操练和情景对话相信会提高学生的运用能力。一、定位:input-based,训练各种读与说的语言微技在语言知识中的运用二、 教学环节设计:一、现在完成时的构成 主语助动词have has 过去分词其它 二、现在完成时的用法 (一)现在完成时的用法1:表示过去发生或已经完成的某一动作对现在造成的影响或结果。此时,常与时间副词already(已经) ,yet(还、已经) ,just(刚刚、仅仅) ,ever(曾经) ,never(从不) ,before(以前)等连用。 (二)现在完成时用法二2持续性用法(肯定句,疑问句中谓语动词必须是延续性动词):表示过去已经开始,持续到现在的动作或状态。此时常与“for 一段时间或“since过去的点时间或从句(从句用一般过去时)以及so far(到目前为止)等时间状语连用。 for + 段时间 since +点时间 实例: 1)Ive lived here since 1990自从1990年以来我就住在这里。 = Ive lived here since 13 years ago. = Ive lived here for 13 years. = It is 13 years since I began to live here. 2)I havent seen him for three years 我三年没有看见他了。 = I havent seen him since three years ago = I havent seen him since 2000. = It is 3 years since I saw him last time. 3)Mr Wang has worked in the factory since he came to the city 自从到这个城市以来,王先生一直在这家工厂工作。 4)Shes been at this school since five years ago 自从五年前以来她就在这个学校。 注意:在这类句子的肯定句和疑问句中谓语动词必须用延续性动词。短暂性动词由于动作不能持续,故不能与for(达到;累计)或since(自从到现在)引出的时间状语连用。 对for和since引导的时间状语提问要用How long 1) 他入团两年了。 误:He has joined the League for two years 正:He has been a League member for two years 2)我买这辆自行车三年了。 误:I have bought this bike for three years 正:I have had this bike for three years 有人可能会问:一般过去时和现在完成时所表示的动作都发生在过去,那么这两种时态有什么区别呢? 答:一般过去时与具体的表示过去时间状语如:yesterday连用;强调动作在过去发生,与现在无关。 现在完成时与自已的特征词连用,强调过去发生的动作对现在的影响或过去开始发生一直持续到现在的动作。 例: He saw the film last night. (过去时,表示他昨晚看过那部电影了,现在不知还要不要再看一次) He has (ever) seen the film before.(现在完成时,表时他已看过那部电影,现在不想再看了) 巩固练习: I按要求转换下列各句,每空一词。 1、He has already finished his homework(改为否定句) He _ finished his homework _ 2They have found the lost books already(改为一般疑问句,并作否定回答) _ they _ the lost books _?No,they_ 3Julia has not got home from school yet(改为肯定句) Julia _ _ _ home from school 6Mr Wang began to teach English in this school in 1999(改为同义句) Mr Wang _ _ English in this school since 1999 7.
