课 题Unit 5 Why do you likje animals?课 型New lesson 课时计划Section A班 级初一(1)备课时间2017年 04 月 19 日授课人王子煜版本学科人民教育出版社 英语 七年级下册 Unit 5 Section A课标要求与分析1. 要求学生掌握动物相关词汇,形容词使用 【这是一条语言目标,行为动词:掌握】2.要求学生能正确运用Why引导的特殊疑问句并进行相关回答【这是一条语言目标,行为动词:运用】3. 通过本科,学生们形成爱护动物的想法 【这是一条情感目标,行为动词:形成】教材分析 Section A 部分通过图文观察和听说活动,引领学生们进入“参观动物园”的情景,目的在于让学生了解各种动物的英文名称,以及它们生长的地方和习性,并能运用英语简单谈论对动物的喜好和原因。该部分重点是动物名称和描述动物特点的形容词,why引导的特殊疑问句及简要回答。学情分析 农场中学6年级学生小学接触英语少,学生学习过有关动物的知识,已具备了相当的情感基础,但是,应用能力十分薄弱,在课堂表现欲望不强,常流露出不自信的神色。为了激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,在教学SectionA时,充分利用多媒体,图片等,使英语学习与学生的实际生活更贴近,让他们从中获得成功感,激发学习英语的热情,树立信心。重点 1) 学会描述动物的性格及特点。2) 学会表达喜欢某类动物及说明喜欢的原因。 难点让学生学会运用描述性的形容词并结合程度副词对事物进行描述。教学目标1.Knowledge Objects: (1)Key Vocabulary: tiger, elephant, panda, lion, koala, giraffe, cute, lazy, smart, beautiful, scary, kind, kind of, pet, leg, cat, sleep (2)Target Language: What animals do you/does she/ does he like? Why do you/does she/ he like ? Because they are (kind of ) 2.Ability Objects: To observe and describe animals. To talk about their preferences 3.Moral Objects:动物和人类都生活在同一地球上,动物是我们的朋友。我们人类应该与动物和谐相处,共同生存。我们应当学会关爱动物,保护动物。.教学流程 【Step1 Warming-up and lead in 】 Play a cartoon show and ask the students to watch carefully!And then answer the questions :What animals you can see in the cartoon? (in both Chinese and English)( e.g. animals-giraffe, monkey,squirrel,rabbit, tiger,zebra,elephant,deer, ) Then ask them some questions:Do you like animals?【Step2 Presentation】1. Then show the class some pictures of animals . And ask them: Whats this in English? Its a tiger. (Then lion, panda, elephant, koala, giraffe) Ss look at the picture and try to remember the new words of the animals. Then show them some adjectives to describe animals3. Students turn to page 25 and finish 1a.4. Check the answers with the class. 【Step3 Game (Guessing game.)】T: Show some pictures on the big screen. Let Ss guess what animal it is. Ss try to guess and remember the names of the animals. 【Step4 Listening 】Work on 1b. Tell Ss to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a. Play the recording again and check the answers with the class. 【Step5 Pair work】1. Ask the students to imagine “ We are in the zoo, there are many kinds of animals here.” Then ask a student to do the model with you: Lets see the lions first. Why? (why do you /does she /does he like lions?) Because they are interesting. 2. Ss work with their partners practice the conversation using the animal in 1a. 【Step6 Listening】1. Work on 2a; T: Listen to the conversation carefully. Then write the names of the animals you hear on these lines.Play the recording the first time. Students only listen.Play the recording a second time. This time students write in the names of the animals.Check the answers.Point out the adjectives and countries listed on the right. Ask a student to say the words.Say, Now I will play the recording again. This time draw a line between each animal and the adjective and countries you hear.Play the recording and have students match each animal with an adjective and a country.Correct the answers.2. Work on 2b T: Listen again and complete the conversation with the words in 2a. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and write the answers. Check the answers with the class. 【Ste7 Pair work】1. Ask two students to read the conversation in 2b to the class.2. Ss practice the conversation in pairs.3. Then show the transcription on the big screen and practice the other two conversations in 2a.4. Ss practice the conversations in pairs. 【Ste8Role-play】 1. Ask Ss to look at the picture in 2d. Then Ss read the conversation in 2d Does Peter have a pet? 2. Ss work in pairs and practice the conversation.4. Let some pairs role-play the conversation. Homework: 1. Remember the new words and expressions in this period. 2. Role-play the conversation after class. 3. Write the animals names as many as possible in the exercises book.
