Unit 7 Will people have robots?青堤学校 罗力Teaching Aims1. Language goals: New words: paper, pollution, prediction, future, pollute Sentence pattern: What will the future be like? Cities will be more polluted. And there will be fewer trees. Will people use money in 100 years? Will there be world peace? Kids will study at home on computers. They wont go to school. 2. Ability Goals Learn to talk about the future. 3. Moral Goals Lead the students to protect the environment.Teaching importance and difficulties1. 教学重点:1) 学习掌握一般将来时态的意义和结构。2) 掌握There be句型的一般将来时态的结构。 2. 教学难点:掌握more/fewer;more/less的用法。情态动词will + 动词原形来表达一般将来时态。Teaching procedures1.Warm-up and lead-in Play a song about Doraemon and have some fun. You must know Doraemon, but do you know its a robot cat. Its also a babysitter, it takes care of babies. Today I am going to introduce you another robots WALL-E. 2.Presentation1). New wordsIntroduce the movie and teach the new words.2).Target languageI am fifteen now, I will be sixteen next year.You are fourteen, and you will be fifteen next year.She will be fifteen then.Show the picture, and show more sentences. Some of you will be sixteen years old, but how about 100 years from now? 3).1a and 1bWeve seen many pictures about the future. But different people have different ideas. Now look at 1a and circle A for agree and D for disagree.Ask some student to talk their opinion.T: Now listen to the recording and circle the predictions you hear in 1a. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the predictions. Play the recording again. Check the answers with the Ss. 4).Summary.After the student finish 1a and 1b, have them pay attention to will. Let them give a summary first, and the teacher summarize.5).Pair-workA: Will peopel use money in 100 years?B; No, they wont. Everything will be free. Will people live to 200 years old?A; Yes, they will.6). 2a and 2b.Will there be less pollution or more pollution? Look at the picture and review the usage of few and less. Do the listening practice and check the answer.Work on 2a: Read the sentences in 2a. Tell Ss they will listen to some sentences. They should listen and circle the words in the bracket. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the words. Play the recording again to check the answers. Work on 2b: Let Ss read the sentences below. Explain some main sentences for the Ss. Make sure they know what to do. Play the recording for the Ss to check the predictions they hear. Play the recording again to check the answers. 3.
