高一英语阅读教学案例高一英语组:李小梅背景介绍 background introduction人教版高中英语必修一第五单元Nelson Mandela的故事,我节选这个单元的阅读案例。本单元的中心话题是“伟人的品格,几位伟人的生平”,话题涉及谈论著名及你最崇敬的伟人“William Tyndale”, “Sun yat-sen” “Nelson Mandela”等,语言技能和语言知识都围绕中心话题而设计。本节课为此单元的第二课时阅读课。“热身”(warming up)部分插入了一段视频,内容关于Beyond乐队写给Nelson Mandela的一首歌,能够引起学生对的兴趣 同时诱发学生的探索精神和想象力。通过观看,学生会自主地发现下面阅读故事的背景,有助于学生正确理解文章的深层意思,真正体会主人公的伟大。“阅读”(Reading)材料是一篇记叙文,故事由穷苦的黑人工人伊莱亚斯向我们叙述伟人纳尔逊曼德拉的故事。通过描述纳尔逊曼德拉对他的帮助,使学生更深刻地了解了纳尔逊曼德拉的伟大,并感受到了伟人的优秀品质,对学生今后的人生道路、心理素质、生活态度起到了陶冶和积极的导向作用。教学目标Teaching aimsTo help students read Elias story and learn some new words and phrasesTo help students know the life of a great man-Nelson MandelaTo call on student to be such kind of person in the future教学重点Teaching key points:Elias story ; Nelson Mandela s qualities教学难点Teaching difficult points How to read story and how to summarize the qualities of Mandela has.教学过程Teaching proceduresStep1 warming upT: Class begins S: morning teacherT: morning students , Now first ,lets enjoy a video pleaseT: what did you see in this video?S: Nelson Mandela(简评:学生通过观看video ,可以感受曼德拉的一生,并且产生强烈的欲望想去了解这位伟人,当时学生注意力特别集中,效果较好)Step 2.Lead inT: Yes ,you are right actually guanghuisuiyue is written by Huang Jiaju to show his respect and love to this great man Nelson Mandela. Today we read a story , in it ,we will learn this great man.Step 3 skimmingNow turn to page 34, lets read the story Elias story .first ,skim the whole passage to figure out the relationship between Nelson Mandela and Elias and also the main idea.Now look at the screen, whats the relationship between Nelson Mandela and Elias?Whats the main idea?Elias told us how Nelson Mandela helped black people through his own experience.Step4.Scanning Now we see its a story ,so we must pay attention to who、where 、 when 、what happened、why 、how ,and what result ,this time using scanning to quickly find the key information to fill in the chart, Ok? He became more hopeful about his future and he never forgot how kind Mandela was. When Nelson Mandela organized the ANC Youth League, Elias joined it as soon as he could.4. What were the positions of the black in the early 1960s?They had no rights to vote or choose who ruled them. They could not get any jobs. They lived in the poorest places in South Africa5. How did the ANC Youth League fight against the government?They decided to answer violence with violence.6. Why did Nelson Mandela turn to violence to make black people and white people equal?Nelson Mandela turned to violence because he felt there was no other way of changing this unfair situation.7. (简评:这一部分是为学生运用语言和操练语言而设计的, 而且征求意见给出观点也是本单元的学习目标之一,所以留大约10分钟左右让他们来评价曼德拉,但是学生当时不是很踊跃)Step10.making upNext lets see the life of this great man, I need a student to read it , 曼德拉简介:南非首位黑人总统 反种族主义英雄 1918年7月18日出生于南非特兰斯凯一个大酋长家庭。曼德拉自幼性格刚强,崇敬民族英雄。他是家中长子而被指定为酋长继承人。但他表示:“决不愿以酋长身份统治一个受压迫的部族”,而要“以一个战士的名义投身于民族解放事业”。他毅然走上了追求民族解放的道路。1944年他参加南非非洲人国民大会(简称非国大)。1952年先后任非国大执委、德兰士瓦省主席、全国副主席。同年年底,他成功地组织并领导了“蔑视不公正法令运动”,赢得了全体黑人的尊敬。为此,南非当局曾两次发出不准他参加公众集会的禁令。 1961年6月曼德拉创建非国大军事组织“民族之矛”,任总司令。1962年8月,曼德拉被捕入狱,当时他年仅43岁,南非政府以政治煽动和非法越境罪判处他5年监禁。1964年6月,他又被指控犯有以阴谋颠覆罪而改判为无期徒刑,从此开始了漫长的铁窗生涯,在狱中长达27个春秋,他备受迫害和折磨,但始终坚贞不屈。1990年2月11日,南非当局在国内外舆论压力下,被迫宣布无条件释放曼德拉。1991年7月当选为非国大主席。1994年4月,非国大在南非首次不分种族的大选中获胜。同年5月,曼德拉成为南非第一位黑人总统。ok ,that s it ,do you want to know the present him?
