Step 2 New wordsShow the students some pictures with different TV shows names for them to learn and read. And then get them to read and spell them one by one.Step 3 PracticeShow some pictures with different TV shows names and ask the students to match the TV shows with the pictures. Then read aloud the names together.Step 4 Listening1a Play the tape for the students to listen and number the shows in the order then hear them. Play twice or more. Then ask some students to report their answers. Step 5 PresentationAsk the students to look at the picture on Page 33 and read the conversation. Then introduce more words: love, like, dont mind, dont like, cant stand and make the students know their meanings.Step 6 PracticeAsk two students to read the conversation in 1c and get the students to practice in pairs. Then ask them to make their own conversations. Finally ask as many pairs as possible to act it out.Step 7 Listening 2a, Look at the picture together and get the students to guess the content of the conversation. Then ask a student to translate the words and phrases in the chart. Then play the recording for the students to listen and number the TV shows in the order they hear them. 2b, Listen again and complete the sentences. First check the answers in pairs and then together. Finally read the sentences aloud. Step 8 Pair workAsk two students to read the conversation in 2c and then the whole class practice in pairs. Then ask the students to use information that is true for them. So our school plans to show a movie or let you watch a TV show together to relax. But first they want to know what kind of TV program you would like to watch, or if youd rather watch a movie.
