8B Unit4 Working on a charity show 说课稿 徐礼灿Hello,everyone.Today Im very pleased to have a chance to talk about some of my teaching ideas.My topic is working on a charity show.It is made up of four parts.Part 1 My understanding of this lessonThis topic Working on a charity show is the first part of Integrated skills of Unit 4 in Fun With English(8B).This lesson plays a very important part in the English teaching of this unit.It is aimed at improving students intergrated skills such as the ability of listening,speaking,reading and writing. At the same time, we should get the students to understand some impotant words and key expressions involved in organizing an event. Of course, the Ss should receive some moral education. Let the Ss understand whats the meaning of a charity show and how they should help and love others in trouble. (一).Teaching aims:1.Knowledge aims: (1).Teach Ss some new words and expressions such as:set up,among,phone,do a very important job,Im sure hed like to help. (2).Help Ss know about arrangements and organation of a charity show.2.Abilities aims: (1).Develop Ss listening skills (2).To write a note explaining arrangements for an event. 3.Emotional aim: Make the Ss love others in poverty and do something to help them. (二).Teaching important points: The same as the aims. (三).Teaching difficult points: To write a note explaining arrangements for an event. (四).Analysis of the students: (1).The Ss have known something about some activities for charities by studying Welcome to the unit and Reading. (2).Some Ss are not active in the class because they are afraid of making mistakes. (3).Some Ss are poor at listening and writingPart 2 My teaching theories, methods and aids Before dealing with this lesson, Ill do my best to carry out the following theories: Make the Ss the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as director;Combine the language structures with the language functions; Let the students receive some moral education while they are learning the English language.Teaching method:Double activities teaching methodQuestion-and-answer activity teaching methodWatch-and-listen activityFree discussion methodPair work or individual work methodTeaching aids:1. a projector2. a tape recorder3. multimedia4. the blackboardPart 3. Teaching steps / proceduresI have designed the following steps to train their ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially listening and writing ability.The entire steps are:Greetings, Revision, Lead-in and a plan for a charity show, Listening and completing the table,Finishing a note about charity show,Dealing with language points, Homework.Step 1. GreetingsGreet the whole class as usual.Step 2. RevisionStep 3. Lead-in and preparation for the new lesson1) Show Ss some pictures about some people in the natual disasters,about some children in poverty and so on. Ask some questions: Would you like to help them? What can we do?Purpose: Arouse the studentsinterest of study.Bring in new subject: working on a charity showStep 4.Deal with A1Let ss look at sandys notes and answer some detailed questions on the screen:1. Whats the name of the show? 2. What do they raise money for?3. When will the show be held?4. What time will the show begin and finish?5. How much does each ticket cost?6. Why did the Class 1,Grade 8 students hold a meeting? Then present the answers to the questions on the screen.Ask some students to read the sentences loudly.Purpose:Train reading ability to find out some different details of the charity show. Step 5. Listening1).Listen to the tape then do an exercise( page 70, A2) Tell Ss:Theres a lot of work to do for a charity show. What do you think you need to do?(present it on the screen) sing a song, dance, to be a host ,set up the stage , organize a play ,design a poster (draw a picture), ask friends and our parents to comesomething else2).Discussion:If you want to know the others duties, you can ask them. Make a dialogue with your partners.(on the screen)For example:Daniel: Excuse me, Kitty, will you set up the stage for us?Kitty: No, Ill design the poster with Sandy, oh, Sandy and Amy will do that.Daniel: Who is the host of the show, Simon?Simon: Millie is, Ill organize play with her.Daniel: Others: Train the Sslistening ability and prepare for exercises. Play the recording through without stopping. Ask students to get the main ideas. Play the recording again and check answers.Who will design the poster?Who will organize a play?Who will be the host of the show?Who will set up the stage?Who will sing a song?/ Who will ask friends and families to come?Step 6. Let Ss help Sandy complete the note.Step 7.Preparation for details of the text on the screen 1. talk about doing something讨论做某事They are talking about setting up the stage.= They are talking about how to set up the stage.2.
