moreconservative thansome otherpiping codes,reflecting the need forlong servicelife andmaxi-mum reliabilityin powerplant installations.The Power Piping Codeas currentlywritten doesnot differentiateamong thedesign,fabrication,and erectionrequirements forsupercritical,critical andnoncritical pipingsys-tems,except forcertain stresscalculations andmandatory nondestructivetests ofwelds
