The majority need to receive the formal education and its main purpose is to set peoples mind free. But in fact, formal education tends to restrain our minds and spirits rather than set them free.The most significant characteristic is that the teaching style of formal education is so rigid. Teachers choose to indoctrinate the textbook knowledge instead of asking “hows” and “whys” for the whole country pursues the policy of exam-oriented education.For example, in the field of physics, it is the famous Newtons Three Laws that always working to indicate the relationship between objects. Teacher will tell students how to use it and students will find it helpful in solving every problem and never think about its authenticity. In fact, its wrong if the particle is so small and move at a very high speed. So students just say “Yes” to anything the teacher told them and this is truly a restriction to peoples minds.Whats more, the formal education has laid down many regulations which limit the personality. For instance, students are requied to attend school every workday. But everyday they have eight classes. And things they can just do after class is use the textbook knowledge to solve the piled-up homework. So the time they can think freely or get close to nature is little.
