Education As A Lifelong ProcessThere is a saying which goes like this, “It is never too old to learn”. It means whether how older we are, we can, and we should keep learning. When we are young, we go to schools, go to colleges, and study there. That is education. While, they are just a part of our education, for we will receive our further education in society after leaving campus. Education is not only took place on the campus, but exist everywhere and any time in our lives.When studying in schools and colleges, we can learn a lot. From learning how to write the letter “a” to composing a piece of graduate thesis in English, we are cultivated gradually. Therefore, we can view the school education, from primary school to college, as the first part of our lifelong education. The part education is very important and meaningful in our lives, because we have learned how to read, write and lots of other skills. It makes us to be a knowledgeable person, a civilized man.However, although quite important the school education is, if is just a part of our lifelong education. To be a successful man, school education is far less enough, and we still have a lot to learn. Here is a simple example. Do you learn how to be a good mother or father in school? Probably you did not. While you should learn it at least when you are going to be a mother or father, and now you are not a school student any more.Furthermore, knowledge changes so quickly nowadays. Some you learned at ten years old may be useless or incorrect now. The new things are keeping pouring into our lives. The popularization of computer can explain it well. You may even didnt know the word computer when study in school, but now it is on you office desk. I can not guess what will come to me next 10 years.When asked about the opinion towards education, a vast number of people simply consider it as going to school or as a means to secure good jobs. But as for me, education is far more important. I view it as a lifelong process of learning. There are three aspects for my preference. First of all, as time passes by, the world will also change immensely. A good education can always present you a better understanding of the more and more complicated world and enough update knowledge to keep pace with it as well. Only by carrying on the process of learning can you live a better life in it.Secondly, education has long been considered as a lifelong pursuit. It offers us not only the opportunity to have something to pursue in our life but makes us enjoy the thorough pleasure and the sense of satisfaction after we have achieved a goal on study.Besides, education can enhance our mental stature. Through lifelong learning, we can absorb the mental and the moral life of a good education, and then convert it into our own character.
