The teacher saidThe teacher said(that)he was an honest boy.(2) Does he work hard?I am not sure.I am not sure if/whether he works hard(1). 引导词: 如果从句是一般疑问句,引导词用if/whether, 意为“是否”,“是不是”。 Is it fine tomorrow? I dont know. .I dont know if/ whether it is fine tomorrow. 我不知道明天是否晴天。(2). 语序 一般疑问句变为宾语从句,语序变为陈述语序。如:Is Michael at home ? Do you know? Do you know if/ whether Michael is at home? Does he live in China ? He asks me. He asks me if/ whether _ _ in China.(3). 时态主句是一般现在时态,从句根据实际情况而定。 主句是一般过去时态,从句用相应的过去的时态。 如果宾语从句说的是客观真理、自然现象或事实时,这时宾语从句要用一般现在时态,注意事项:whether 与if 引导宾语从句时,一般可以通用,但在下列情况下,whether不可换用if,只能用whether。 从句中有or not 时 I dont know whether or not it rains.I dont know whether the movie star will come or not.在介词后面的宾语从句中不用if引导 They are talking about whether he will come here. 连接词后接不定式。I dont know whether to stay or go.Does Mr. Brown enjoy living in China?
