The Fisherman and the Goldfish(I)Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. My name is Yang Feng. Today, I am going to talk about lesson33: The Fisherman and the Goldfish. I will divide the instruction into several parts. (Part 1 Teaching material analysis)Well, firstly, Ill talk about part 1:analysis of the teaching material.The Fisherman and the Goldfish is from Unit 6 (Grade 9 Hebei Education Press. This lesson is a play. It is about a story so it can help arouse students interest in learning English. Also,I will lead students to learn reading skills and joy in learning though they have different levels.(Part 2 Learning goals) Then, the next part -part 2, learning goals. By the end of the lesson, students should be able to reach these goals:1. Aims of knowledge:1) Learn some useful words and expressions .2) Listen and understand the story.2. Aims of ability:1) Develop students listening and speaking ability. 2) Be able to talk about the story in English. 3. Aims of emotion:1) Develop students confidence by speaking bravely.2) Improve students team-work awareness.3) Learn to be satisfied with what you have and love your present life.(Part 3 Key points ) Now, it comes to the key points. The reading skills. Whats more, the new words and new Phrases are also important such as goldfish, wife, God, grey , marry, net, whatever and so on. (Part 4 Teaching difficulties)Of course, teaching difficulties are necessary for teachers to know. It is difficult for students to retell the story and to act this play.(Part 5 Teaching methods)In this text, I will use real-world activities skill to reduce the language barrier, and clear and simple English to make it easier. Well, I think if I want to improve the students English, I should give them enough chances to practice. And I will give some related exercises to let the students use the knowledge they have learned. That is “Learning by doing, learning by using”. Let the students be the masters of the class teaching. Thus, student-centered teaching method is also applied.(Part 6 Teaching aids)In this lesson, I will use the following things: the blackboard, multimedia, PPT, light blue sheet. (Part 7 Teaching Procedures)Step1 Lead-in1.Ask : Have you heard of the story The Fisherman and the Goldfish?2. After showing some vivid pictures related to the story, Ill ask them to have a short discussion. (1)What will the fisherman do next? The fisherman and his wife led a rich life. ( ) 3. The goldfish said it could give him whatever he wished for.
