Why are we so unhappy when we have so many opportunities nowadays?People try everything: money, sex, career, marriage, divorce, alcohol, rock and roll and even drugs, but most of us only want one thing-happiness. Being happy is a natural part of the human condition; we just need to believe it and allow ourselves to feel it.Make this affirmation: I deserve to be happy. Say it, sing it, shout it. Prioritize happiness; make it your number one thing. Be grateful for all you have. NO.8- I Am Natures Greatest MiracleSince the beginning of time there has never been another with my mind, my heart, my eyes, my ears, my hands, my hair, my mouth.I am the end product of thousands of years of evolution; therefore, I am better equipped in both mind and body than all the emperors and wise men who preceded me. I have unlimited potential. I am a unique creature. I am not on this earth by chance. I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand.Henceforth will I apply all my efforts to become the highest mountain of all and I will strain my potential until it cries for mercy. I will win, and I will become the greatest person, for I am unique. I am natures greatest miracle.NO.9- Hold Fast to DreamsWe all have dreams. We all want to believe deep down in our souls that we have a special gift, that we can make a difference, that we can touch others in a special way, and that we can make the world a better place. At one time in our lives, we all had a vision for the quality of life that we desire and deserve.Yet, for many of us, those dreams have become so shrouded in the frustrations and routines of daily life that we no longer even make an effort to accomplish them. For far too many, the dream has dissipatedand with it, so has the will to shape our destinies. Many have lost that sense of certainty that creates the winners edge.What we should do is to restore the dream and to make it real, to get each of us to remember and use the unlimited power that lies sleeping within us all.NO.10- Try More than OnceTake a look at an apple tree. There might be five hundred apples on the tree, but each apple has just ten seeds. Thats a lot of seeds! We might ask, “Why would you need so many seeds just to grow a few more apple trees?”Nature has something to teach us here. Its telling us: “Not all seeds grow. In life, most seeds never grow. So if you really want to make something happen, you had better try more than once.” This might mean: Youll attend twenty interviews to get one job. Youll interview forty people to find one good employee. Youll talk to fifty people to sell one house, one car, one vacuum cleaner, one insurance policy, or a business idea. And you might meet a hundred acquaintances just to find one special friend.When we understand the “Law of the Seed”, we dont get so disappointed. We stop feeling like victims. We learn how to deal with things that happen to us.NO.11- Nothing Can Take the Place of PersistenceNothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful individuals with talent. Genius will not; unrewarding genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. Perseverance does not always mean sticking to the same thing forever. It means giving full concentration and effort to whatever you are doing, right now! It means doing the tough things first and looking downstream for gratification and rewards. It means being happy in your work, but hungry for more knowledge and progress. It means making more calls, going more miles, pulling more weeds, getting up earlier in the day and always being on the lookout for a better way of doing what youre doing. Perseverance is success though trial and error.NO.12- Always Will I Seek the Seed of Triumph in Every AdversityThere is no better school than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve my performance next time. Never again will I contribute to my downfall by refusing to face the truth and learn from my past mistakes. Because I know: gems cannot shine without polish, and I cannot perfect myself without hardship.Now I know that there are no times in life when opportunity, the chance to be and do, gathers so richly about my soul as when it has to suffer cruel adversity.Then everything depends on whether I raise my head or lower it in seeking help. Whenever I am struck down, in the future, by any terrible defeat, I will always inquire of myself, after the first pain has passed how I can turn that adversity into good. What a great opportunity that moment might present to take the bitter root I am holding and transform it into a fragrant garden of flowers!Always will I seek the seed of triumph in every adversity!NO.13- Key Factors to SuccessNo doubt, everyone wishes to be successful in life. But most success depends on three key factors: diligence, devotion and perseverance. The first key factor is diligence. Diligence can help us to remove ignorance and overcome difficulties. It can make a fool wise, and a poor man rich. If we idle away our time now, our future life will be a failure. If we are diligent now, we will surely be successful in the future. Devotion, which means the concentration of our mind and effort in doing things, is another key factor to success. Whatever job we are doing, we must love it and do it heart and soul. Only when we set our minds on the job, can we do it well. Furthermore, perseverance is also necessary for any success. If we study or work day after day, there is nothing that cannot be achieved. Without a strong will, on the other hand, we are likely to give up when we meet difficulties. To conclude, all great men achieve success through diligence, devotion and perseverance. Just as the famous English saying goes, “No pain, no gain!”NO.14- I Have a Dream by Martin. Luther. King I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow. I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: we hold these truth to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today.I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted. Every hill and mountain shall be made low. The rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glow of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. This is our hope.This is the faith that I go back to the South with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.
