It seems that we have nothing learn from“student of a African wildlife”.But when we analyze the text carefully we will find this student Jane Gooddall is actually a women of great achievement .Physical conditions may limit womenchoice of career. Till mow there is a prejudice that women are expected to play the main role in the family rather than in society. Jane Goodall had overcome all kinds of difficulties .She has achieved everything she wanted to do :working with animals in the own environment rather than in the zoo; gaining a doctordegree and showing that women can live in the forest as men can. The most important affective object is to let students know what kind of qualities a great person should possess. The discussion can be illuminating. In a society that is becoming more and more fame and fortune oriented, it is very important to have our young students realize that great people are not necessarily rich people or celebrities. But they must be spiritually fulfilled and be beneficial to the people and society. Through the study of this unit, students should be able to understand that a persons achievement should not depend on his/her sex.
