You should take your temperature .3. 学会用英语谈论身体健康问题及如何根据别人的健康问题提出建议。4. 教育学生学会关心他人,通过询问他人的健康情况及给予帮助,增进人与人之间的情感。2、 教学重难点1. 学会询问并回答有关的健康问题。2. 学会根据他人的健康问题给出适当的建议。3、 教学准备PPT,tape-recorder 4、 教学过程Step 1 Greeting T: How are you ?S: Im fine , thanks . And you ?T: I have a fever . What should I do ?Step 2 Lead -in Today were going to talk about health problems. Lets learnUnit 1 Whats the matter ?Step 3 New words Look at a picture and learn the parts of the body. Then show the words on the screen. Ask the students to read and remember them.1a Look at the picture. Write the correct letter a-m for each part of the body.Step 4 Presentation T: I have a stomachache .(I mime having a stomachache with an action of touching my stomachache .) What can you say to me ?S: Whats the matter ?T: What should I do ?S: You should see a doctor Then show some pictures on the big screen and ask students to practice .Eg. T:What can you say to him ?(Let students look at the picture )S:Whats the matter ?T:Whats the matter with him?S:He has a fever .T: What should he do ?S:She should take his temperature .Step 5 Play a guessing game Ask some students to use gestures to show the illness andlet others guess .Eg. S1 does an action to express an illness . T: Whats matter with him ? S2:He has a cough. T: What should he do ? S2: He should have a rest .Step 6 Listening1b Listen and look at the picture .Then number the names 1-5 .2a Listen and number the pictures 1-5 in the order you hear them.2b Listen again. Match the problems with the advice.Step 7 Speaking 2c Make conversations using the information in 2a and 2b.A:Whats the matter?B:My head feels very hot.A:Maybe you have a fever.B:What should I do?A:You should take your temperature.Step 8 Roleplay the conversation 1.Imagine you are the school doctor. A few students have health problems. Role-play a conversation between the doctor and the students.2d Role play the conversation2. Answer the questions.1) Whats the matter with Lisa?2) Did she have a fever?3) What did she do the night before?4) What does she need to do?5) What should she do for now? 6) What should she do if things dont get better?Step 9 Language points and summary1. Whats the matter ?怎么了?出什么事了?(询问疾病、 困难、烦恼、周边情况等) 询问某人怎么了?:Whats the matter /trouble with sb. ? = Whats wrong with sb. ? = Whats ones trouble ?Eg: Whats the matter /trouble with him ? = Whats wrong with him ? = Whats his trouble ?2. have a cold 伤风,感冒,是固定词组。表示身体不适的常用词组还有:have a bad cold 重感冒,have a fever发烧,have a headache 头痛,have a stomachache 胃痛,have a toothache牙痛, have a backache背疼, have a sore throat喉咙疼 3. 针对身体不适常提的建议:lie down and rest躺下并且休息,drink hot tea with honey喝热蜂蜜茶,drink lots of water喝大量水,see a dentist看牙医,take ones temperature量体温,go to a doctor看医生.Step 10 Exercises翻译下列句子。1. 你怎么了?我头痛。2. 他怎么了?他发烧3. 李雷怎么了?他喉咙痛。他应该多喝水。4. 如果你的头和脖子明天仍然疼的话,请去看医生。Keys: What is the matter with you?
