Unit1 Whats the matter?Section A 3a3c教学目标:1.能掌握以下单词和短语:passenger,get off,to ones surprise,onto,trouble,hit,right away,get into,herself,see sb.doing sth.,thanks to,in time,wait for。2.进一步复习巩固学习Section A 部分所学的生词和词组。3.巩固一般过去时,熟练使用动词的过去式。 4.通过阅读训练,提高阅读效率。培养学生乐于助人的品质。教学内容:1.通过公交司机的救人故事,进行阅读技能教学。2.复习巩固should的用法和对疾病及事故伤害的询问及应答。教学重难点1.对一般过去时的复习。2.进一步学习Grammar Focus中should/shouldnt和have的用法。3.在阅读材料中,准确地提取所需信息。教学思路 本课教学内容是八年级下Unit 1 第二课时,是一节阅读兼语法课。首先是阅读短文,它的任务是复习过去时态,训练和提高阅读技能,学习和巩固交际用语、词汇及其他语言知识,同时也培养学生正确的情感态度、价值观。培养学生对身处困境的人及时出手相助的公德意识。 接着对Grammar Focus的句型进行讨论,总结should/shouldnt和have的用法。在教学过程中可以采用角色扮演,小组活动等形式,让学生进一步学习巩固单元语法知识,并结合教材通过大量的训练加以巩固。教学准备 准备单词卡片、图片、多媒体课件。教学过程Step. Lead inLeading in 【情景1】Greet the class as usual, and then point to a student and say,“You look pale. Whats the matter?” Help the student answer “I have a cold.” and give him/ her some advice like “You should drink more water.”Show some pictures about health problems and ask students to work in pairs like this: S1: Whats the matter?S2: I have a . S1: You should . (Help them use “You shouldnt .”.) Have three pairs act out their conversations in class.设计意图通过对话熟悉上节课所学内容进而巩固上节课学习的内容,为这节课的学习做好铺垫。Leading in 【情景2】Review: Ask several pairs of students to the front of the classroom to act out the dialogue: (出示几幅生病图片)Whats the matter with you?I have a sore throat.Then ask others: Whats the matter with him/her?Help students answer: He/She has a sore throat.He/She should drink lots of water.设计意图通过实景练习对话,对上节要点内容做一复习,为这节课的学习做好铺垫。Step.Reading (3a)Task 1:Read fast and silently to find the general idea.The general idea of the article is about.A.an accident and a good deed B.a good way C.a sad thing happening on a busTask 2: Ask students to read the story and answer the questions.1.When did the accident happen? 2.Which bus was going along Zhonghua Road?3.What did the bus driver see?4.Did the bus driver help the man and the woman? The teacher should explain the sentences and points.教材解读1.At 9:00 a.m.yesterday,bus No.26 was going along Zhonghua Road when the driver saw an old man lying on the side of the road.was going为过去进行时,表示过去某个具体时刻正在进行的事情或动作。结构: was/were + doing (现在分词)。It was raining when they left the station.他们离开车站的时候天正在下雨。see sb.doing sth.指“看见某人正在做某事”,即看见的行为或事件正在进行。see sb.do sth.指“看见了某人做某事的全过程”。I saw them chatting on the Internet a moment ago.刚才我看见他们在网上与人聊天。Did you see your English teacher come into the classroom?你看见你的英语老师走进教室了吗?2.He expected most or all of the passengers to get off and wait for the next bus.本句中expect sb.to do sth.表示“期盼/预料某人做某事”;expect to do sth.期望去做某事;“expect+that从句”中,若从句谓语为否定,注意否定的转移;expect sth.期盼某事。You cant expect me to finish the work in just two days.你不能期望我仅在两天之内完成这项工作。She expects to go abroad.她期待着出国。I dont expect that he has done such a thing.我预料他不会干出这种事来。3.But to his surprise,they all agreed to go with him.to ones surprise令人惊奇的是,ones指形容词性物主代词或所有格。To his surprise,he found the old man was blind.令他惊奇的是,他发现这个老人是个盲人。agree to do sth.同意、赞成做某事。They agreed to solve the problem.他们同意去解决这个问题。【注意】agree with同意,赞成,后接人作宾语或接意见、看法的名词或代词作宾语。agree on 表示“对取得一致意见”。Does she agree with us?她同意我们的意见吗?We finally agreed on the price for the house.我们最后同意了这所房子的价格。4.Thanks to Mr.Wang and the passengers,the man was saved by the doctors in time.thanks to意为“多亏了,由于的帮助”,相当于because of .或 with the help of.,to是介词,后接名词、代词或动名词。 Thanks to the doctor,I am well again.多亏这位医生,我身体又康复了。Thanks to our teachers,we all passed the exam.=Because of our teachers,we all passed the exam.= With the help of our teachers,we all passed the exam.多亏了老师们的帮助,我们考试都及格了。5.because they dont want any trouble,.trouble n.麻烦,烦恼,问题; v.使烦恼。I hate to trouble him.我真不想去麻烦他。【拓展】have trouble (in) doing sth.表示“做某事很困难/费劲”,相当于have problems/difficulty (in) doing sth.,介词in可以省略,problems/difficulty/trouble前面可以加修饰语some,a little,great,no,a lot of等。I have some trouble in reading her handwriting.我认她的笔迹感到有些困难。He has a lot of problems in buying a computer now.现在他买电脑有很多困难。【固定搭配】ask for trouble 自找麻烦;in trouble处于困境中;have trouble with有麻烦/困难;get into trouble造成麻烦;招来麻烦。Task 3: Read the passage again and check () the things that happened in the story.1.Wang Ping was the driver of bus No.26 at 9:00 a.m.yesterday.2.
